Hey mate, Got two broken late heater controls. 1) You could call this 'barely' broken. Was all working before removal but despite best efforts, a small section chipped off one of the grey arms which hold the cables. :bad-words: 2) Left over from a previous car that was broken, need to double check condition but hasn't been sold as working so can only assume something wasn't working before removal. I'm sure one of them will be of use to you. Obviously want a little more for heater control no.1 apposed to no.2. Let me know if your interested.

From memory from when I actually weighed my own around the 15-16kg mark. Carbon Fibre bonnets give a significant weight reduction in this area.
-
2nd what Carl says. Fits in most mid-size estates with some jiggery-pokery. Just make sure you protect the top corners.

Have one window control module: £10 + postage. May even have a drivers side bump strip also, i'll have a look. We're talking the long one right?

One of these on the right hand side...?

Wished you've have said, I had the same problem but found that Four Seasons Tuning stock them and shipped them to the UK for me along with lots of other lovely Gen VAG bits. Been very happy with my BFI mounts and have since helped my Bro fit them to his Goof VR6 and a friends Ibiza 1.8T. Interesting to see how the new front mount works out however if you do wanna order some BFI's just give me a shout and i'll drop you some details.

You may wanna clarify to peeps exactly what sections of loom you need as it appears what you need is not the engine loom. Should help others.

Stu, not sure on exact price, but think it's getting on for £1K! May be more... Thanks Andy, that really doesn't surprise me. I've seen a receipt from 5 or so years ago now which had a Gen ABS Pump on it and it was around the 800 mark then. Just crazy.

As i'm in need of a replacement (and i think everyone will enjoy the laugh) 1. VR6 ABS Pump - for a '95 Model Corrado.
-
Got a full late spec VR6 engine loom here also if interested.

Not full CF but its 100% ready to roll. Mk4 Washer Jets - work really well in comparison to standard items / plug and play. Complete with bonnet pins, weather seal etc etc...

number plate surround obsolete now Any other advance on it being obsolete, no doubting Mr C5 OEM but merely querying as I've heard of parts being obsolete then suddenly some are available...?
-
Be interested to know the price of the following: 1) Rear Number Plate Surround - UK Spec 2) Rear Number Plate Surround - US Spec (if poss) Thanks in advance.

Drop mariojoshi a pm, I think he might be able to help.

My effort from today before the 'real snow' came and a timely move of the car to put it under cover.

Will have a crack at taking some pics one lunch time at work as after work darkness may cause a prob. Failing that weekend time any good...? Thanks for the offer Stu, but it's FIXED! I had a go after finishing work at 6.30 last night, must have looked mental to the neighbours laying under my car in freezing fog! I undid the bottom bolt and removed the mount, wiggled it about and then retorqued it, same with the top bolt. Lo and behold no more knocking!. I can't describe how happy it made me to drive home without any horrible noises in 1st and 2nd, and the whole car felt a hell of a lot more solid on the back roads (I guess it should do with the engine properly bolted down!) Just wish I'd of worked the problem out sooner. I wasted the whole summer not fitting my Rotrex because I couldn't track down this noise. Now it's gone though (both the Rotrex and the noise) there's nothing stopping me from having a nice Turbo bolted on :) :) :) Roll on February! Nice one mate. Saves me doing the same in the freezing cold  Glad to hear you've solved the problem.

Just out of interest did you use the hardware that came with the kit...? I swear from memory I used some and reused some of the old bolts as one or two from the kit weren't correct length based on the new mounts. Which have you used as this might be contributing to the problem...? A friend of mine runs them on his Seat Ibiza and he has moaned about having to re-tighten them. He used all the BFI attachment hardware where as i've used a mix and had no issues in a good 20k+ of driving.
-
Had no idea Andy you were running the BFI mounts also, our cars really are very similar. Which way round did you have the front one mounted? Should be smaller 'puck' on the bottom, large on top with the various washers in between.
