  1. I have left my 2.0 16v with water for all winter, not a Scottish one but a Polish one. - 25 C during almost 3 months. Everything frizzed up but.... I was lucky. Nothing happened.

    What can I suggest.

Do not start engine before ice is gone. Maybe You are lucky ass well.

  2. only thing ive heard about the allroads is that the airbags they have can get bits of sand grit inbetween the folds in them and they eventually put holes into the bag. making the airpump work constantly and burning that out. the airsbags aint cheap to replace either, think there is a company in the states that do em cheaper than over here

Yep, that's true, You can buy all new suspension for about 1300 pounds so it's not as that bad. It's same as G60 in corrado, some of them mange over 100k miles some didn't. Allroad suspension should be replaced/serviced after 120k miles.

I'm still waiting on coilovers for Allroad.

  3. S3, yes very tunable car. Personally have one with GT28RS on it and more different toys, all together around 340-350 bhp but...... It's not a Corrado. You can see old grandpa driving Audi S3 but if You see Corrado its something what makes You better..... I had that all the time.

That's the way S3 is seating in my garage (because of some work need to be done) and I'm still thinking about swaping all the goods to my Corrado. Having Corrado quatro and around 350 bhp under your feet is what You can't miss.

  4. We must surely have an IT man in our number who can shed some light on this?

I'm a IT guy :) Tested 4 cables together on vag com from ross-tech. 3 were after market cables about 10-25 quid each. You can plug them via usb, windows can see them as a new device and You can install them successful but vag com doesn't recognized them. everything was tested on 2 different computers. When plugged original ross-tech cable was recognized and installed by windows as 3 after market cables in this same way but only one different is that You can use it with vag.com. All 4 cables was tested with different programs, mileage correction etc. and only original ross-tech did the job. Question is, what's the different. Ross-tech cable must have something what cheep cables doesn't in construction what makes it usable but cost 200 quid :(

  5. My car doesn't start today's morning. Was driving well yesterday evening but today ignition was turning but engine doesn't want to start. Replace fuel tank so fat as had a spare one but doesn't help as well. Have day off tomorrow and will be looking for mistake. Any idea what else look for ?? Have a brand new spark plugs and coils. Will check if fuel is comong to engine but what else ?? Any idea ??

  6. I'd be more tempred to buy a £10 lead, and "find" some software online tbh mate.

Ross-tech is the official site for the software, but it can be found "elsewhere"...

I've already have 15 quid usb cable and it's not even seen by Ros-tech vag.com but oryginal cable is costing 349 US so over 200 pounds + another over 200 quid for software if U want to stay legal.
