  12. Hi Chris, yes it's been a tough call to make but been on my mind for the last year or so.Fitting the 301's did give me a boost of enthusiasm for the car but i think this is the right decision now.13 years with this car & 2 with my G60 is a pretty good run i think! It would be nice to lock it away somewhere & come back to it after a while but that unfortunately isn't practical. I could really regret this but i'm willing to take a chance. If i miss it too much i can always get another in the future. The Corrado's have been a total pleasure to own (mostly)! & iv'e met a lot of great people & made some friends & will continue getting to a few shows & meets in the future. Anyway ,who knows how long it will take to sell ? I'm still booked on the clubstand at London Volksfest in a couple of weeks & will continue to enjoy the car. A worthy replacement ? not completely sure but iv'e hankered after an e46 M3 for a while but a little worried it wouldn't look special enough, A 911 (997) definitely ticks the special box but iv'e read some horror stories of engine failures which worry me a little TVR Cerbera & Tuscans really appeal but that could just be madness !!! Opinions welcome ! This could all be a long way off but will be sure to let you all know anyway.
  13. I have a spare maf sensor Jim,as per Sean ,happy to let you try it before you buy.you will have to get part number though as I think there are 2 types
  14. Sadly the time has come to part with my Met Black Vr6.I have owned it since 2001 and it has given me a few sleepless nights coming to this decision but i would like to move on to something else.I only hope whatever i find it gives as much pleasure as this car has. The car: 1994 L reg Brilliant Black Metallic LA9V VR6.Has always been a weekend/hobby car, always garaged & normally not used/sorned in winter months & if weather is wet it usually stays in the garage. I have won a few trophies at some shows including best car at 2012 CCGB National day I bought the car with 86k miles with fvwsh & it is now on 108k.At around 100k the engine was removed & given to Stealth Racing for a full overhaul.Bills to prove for around £2500. The car has had some paintwork carried out, to a very high standard & as such is hard to fault & always gets positive comments. It has a black leather interior in very good condition with no major wear The sunroof & rear spoiler work perfectly & there are no faults with the car other than it would benefit from new underbonnet foam The car is largely standard apart from the following:- Schimmel 263 cams with Stealth Racing Re-map Koni suspension Miltek exhaust system Rear lights tinted with Laminex Side strips removed but still have them packed away Currently sits on near mint original 17in BBS RX2's,still have original Speedlines. Parts that have been also replaced in my ownership:- Clutch & flywheel soon after purchase Clutch master & slave cylinders Roof gutter trims Front grille Front splitter Drivers door scraper seal Aerial Front windscreen with top tint Rear brake discs pads & brgs MAF sensor (genuine) Lambda sensor(genuine) Coilpack Front fog lamp x 1 Heater blower & resistor Rear beam bushes replaced & beam cleaned & painted Front wishbone bushes replaced & wishbones cleaned & repainted 3 previous owners Vw stamped service book up to 86k Also had a reg plate change to C11 VRG (cost £400) included in sale. 8 mnths tax & 6mnths mot Thats about the bulk of it ! Can supply lots more pictures by email on request A truly cherished car in stunning condition. Looking for £5500 ovno Thanks for looking.Daren
