  1. I popped in and had a nose at it today as its not far from me. TBH it's not as nice as it looks in the pics, had lots of paint which is obvious as they hadn't done the mirrors or drivers door shut which really showed up as it was pretty scuffed and the mirrors were discoloured. I got the impression it had been tarted up for sale rather than being a cherished well cared for car. That said the interior was excellent apart from the screw holes in the dash, all front lamps looked like they were fairly new. It badly needs new roof gutter trims, suspension parts were a bit scabby and when i lifted the bonnet the expansion bottle was empty. Hope that helps. Had a nose around while i was in there & there were some lovely cars in there , the Llasa green Mk1 was immaculate & 2 stunning 993's
  2. Hi Chris, don't regret selling the car, but do miss owning it if that make's sense ?!
  3. MMm , beginning to like tea again. Corrado's ? maybe !
  4. Hi James , mmm thinking about it.The m3 has been off the road for the last 2 weeks with a Vanos fault, good job its getting sorted under warranty but it's taking time to sort. It's an awesome car, but i do miss the relative simplicity of the C and the rarity, once it's fixed i could be all happy again, but on a bit of a downer at the mo :(
  5. ChrisL ,are you trying to tempt me back to the Corrado scene ?!!? That's the second great looking C, after the red G60 that you brought to our attention recently.Love Sherry Pearl.
  6. Real Ale's generally , also like a nice single malt & expensive cognac 8) Weirdly after a lifetime of enjoying a nice cuppa, last week woke up one morning and decided i don't like tea anymore ?!?
  7. The aux water pump is normally very quiet, think they are still available.
  8. Like the Golf & the e30, the C would definitely benefit with the original front grille & standard rear lamps imo. White rados can look really good with the right mods, good luck with it
  9. Hi mate, I have a motor from a mk3 golf that will work fine in the Corrado ,£25 posted. Daren

  11. Been enjoying the fine 'ish' weather in the m3 this weekend, also got the 18in wheels back from refurbishment and fitted them along with some smoked front indicators. Wasn't sure about the wheel's at first as they don't have the impact of the 19's but they have grown on me and I definitely prefer the style of them. Also came across a picture of my old Vr, while on my hols in Brittany, in a French vw magazine!!
  12. Afraid I didn't no, looks like there were some lovely cars, will try next year though.
  13. Spotted Portent's rado whilst looking at some pics on an M3 forum at a recent BMW meet ! http://i551.photobucket.com/albums/ii475/bilzabba/Gaydon%202014/IMG_8126_zps2abdebb9.jpg
  14. I always use distilled water too Rog. Not essential but i live in a hard water area & it's better than the chalky/limey tap water.
  15. Hi mate, I have a sunroof motor.not sure of the part number but it's from a mk3 golf ,which looks slightly different but works perfectly well in the Corrado. £25 posted if you're interested
  16. To the right of that i would go for Mitsubishi Colt ?
  17. I personally would return it back to factory standard Rog,it would reduce the risk of any leaks too,not sure they are really needed unless the car is tracked or turbo'd etc
  18. Glad you're happy with them James, they are fabulous wheels & I'm glad they have gone to a good home.
  19. Thanks,he is keeping it as a weekend car,I'm glad to say. Hi Ben,the blue interior is a bit loud for me ! Are you at S Pod for Vw action this month ?
  20. Thanks all, really nice to get positive comments , love this forum & plan to stay in touch 8)

  22. Well,my Corrado has been gone for 3 weeks now & i have to admit i have missed it a bit & for a couple of days after i watched it drive away with the new owner i felt a bit emotional. Not sure it was healthy to be that attatched to a car! But today i collected its replacement 8), A manual e46 M3 in Mystic Blue with black leather, a colour that i really like. You need to see it in the metal to appreciate it,quite bright in the sunshine & quite moody in the shade.similar to Corrado mystic blue but not as dark. The car has covered just 38k miles & in great condition. I bought it from a used car dealer in West London, they generally sold quite high end motors,Porsche,Ferrari etc & this at the bottom of there sales website ! They were great to deal with ,the car was kept in an underground car park with a whole bunch of exotic cars which was shared with a couple of other car dealers & it was nice to have a look around. In the deal for the car they had an inspection 2 carried out by BMW ,as it was due.I initially said no to the car because of this as is a £1000 service !! Also included with the deal are some spare OEM 18in alloys, with nearly new Michelin tyres, which M3 owners often fit as they are meant to give a better ride, ( though compared to a rado on coilovers the ride is pretty good anyway ! ).They need a refurb ideally & i plan to get them finished in Shadow Chrome or Anthracite. Going to keep the car very standard overall though. First impressions of the car are good, the drive home this afternoon included 2 hrs sat on the M25 which gave me time to appreciate the air conditioned quality interior & when i joined the A3 i was able to open it up a bit and opened the windows through the Hindhead tunnel, which is 1 & 1/4 miles long ,(glorious sound) .Always loved the VR6 through there too. Only problem so far is its longer than i anticipated & it wouldn't fit in my garage without having to dismantle part of my shelving, the Corrado fitted in there so nicely !! Anyway ,took a couple of pics
  23. Looks very nice Sean, make sure wife doesn't put petrol in that one ! A friend has a similar model & he had it re-mapped ,made a big difference in power & driveability
