  1. Agree with the inference. The stock mirrors look fine, are part of the car and work well too. Not convinced the time cost and hassle involved with changing them is worthwhile and if anything detracts from the cars styling

  2. I have a late spec full leather rear too, its absolutely perfect like new and barely if ever sat in. I will be having a retrim soon so the full covers will be available or if I was supplied with a cloth bench i'd get the covers switched over by my trimmer. You will not find better.

  3. [Did Jay Renshaw not have these fitted to his Corrado when he was building it? Think his username is 24vrenshaw thesedays.

    Thats right, car now owned by Vick N, and a stunning example it is, mirrors are still on. Lots of pics on recent show reports. ED 38, Players & Westside 8)

  4. Quickest, cheapest and easiest way as new leather simply won't look quite the same. A typical quote for a quality retrim of front Recaros only is approx £650. Include all panels and headrests, Would you think £125 plus p&p sounds fair?

  5. I have a full set of Recaro front black leather covers removed from my car when I had a retrim, they are as good as you will find in original condition. I'm willing to sell if you are interested, will transform the seats 8)

  6. Cheers, Sadly I missed Ed38 for a number of reasons but I hope to get back out and about soon 8)

    Here's a quick pic of the engine bay after a little TLC from the guys at DG Autotech :salute: . All the work is detailed above but the result is a nice OE looking bay, simple.

  7. WOW! recent work is stunning think i need to retrim my recaros

    Cheers Terry, there may be a more cost effective route. I have kept the covers off my front seats which were as good as you are likely to find and the back seat or covers may be available and that is like new.

    Also the RX may need a new home soon

  8. In the engine bay

    * Mocal oil cooler with DG Autotech oil cooler shaft

    * DG Autotech fan housing (finished in black) and fans 11" and 9"

    * Full set of black OE look Samco classic coolant hoses

    * Stock OE airbox refitted

    * Intake manifold media blasted and refinished.

    * Injectors cleaned and new O rings

  9. Moving further forward

    * Brand new VAG callipers finished in black

    * 312mm discs

    * Red stuff pads (backs painted black for OE look)

    * Goodridge braided hoses

    * DG Autotech custom laser cut dust shields.

    * New top mounts

    * Suspension and steering set up

  10. What else did you get done?

    Well starting at the back of the car.

    * Rear axle was dropped, stripped, media blasted and refinished

    * Tank straps media blasted and refinished.

    * Rear axle rebuilt with all new bolts, brake compensator, handbrake cables, brake lines etc

    * Rear callipers and carriers stripped, blasted and refinished in black

    * H & R rear 25mm Anti Roll Bar fitted

  11. i want those seats who done the work Gareth

    Shaun, the seats were retrimmed by Andy Mayer at Snappy Gaitors. He works as a trimmer for Bentley at Crewe as his day job but undertakes additional work from his workshop at home. I wanted a top class factory fresh finish but better than stock, but he also does custom work. Specialising in VAG and Porsche he has done some of the finest and most detailed interiors out there. One of the most recent examples is Gary Brants MK4 Golf featuring RS4 seats terracotta/red leather and carbon. His work is superb.

  12. Seats look good, but why did you retrim them, i though they were mint allready?

    The seats were as good as you were likely to find for fifteen year old Recaros but now they are like new, tight and fresh and fully leather not vinyl at the sides and back as they are as standard.
