where is the coolant bleed valve? does it have one? VR6 engine

I've got the same problem m8, seems to be coming from the matrix as there's certainly no holes. Just put some radweld into the system in the hope that it cures it but I'm not that hopeful :(

so can ya pull the controls apart without breaking them? It seems that mine are FUBAR, would need to detach the round grey discs from the housing, is this possible do you know?

just stick to the speed limits or there abouts, using a detector just lull's you into a false sense of security. THere' so many different types of evil cameras about now & none of them will detect all of them.

So do they still do the racall does anyone have a definative answer? Was thinking of calling VW today with my chassis number to see if it has / hasn't been done or if its actually qualifies or not

cheers m8, had a look last night but was reluctant to even attempt to diconnect the wires just in case I ciouldn't get them back on. Gonna take a look over the weekend in the comfort of my girlfriends double garage (ooh err) :D -

how do you disconnect the cables from the controls? I heard somewhere that Mk2 Golf heater controls are the same? Is that true? -
Biased toward the drivers side, windscreen when its turned to screen, not sure about the others cos I can only turn the direction between the windscreen and foot wells. Took the panel apart last night, now blower No 2 isn't working D'oh! Sounds more likely that the plastic trunk has come away, is that a dashboard off thing? One other question, how the feck do I disconnect the cables from the controls?

Has anyone fitted replacements? if so I could do with a bit of help, a) I heard that Golf Mk2 or Passat (dunno model / years) are similar / the same? b) Tips on fitting i.e. How do I get the wire off the old one & on to the new one? c) At the moment the airflow seems to be biased in favour of the drivers side, any solutions ideas? ta Chris

nah no damp carpets, can't be the heater matrix either. I think the airpipes must be trapped or mis routed somewhere. looks like the dash will have to come off at some point. Prolly wait til the summer though before I do that :(

Anyone else suffer from excessively steamy windows? I did post a similar question previously, but peeps just rattled on about heater matrix's and stuff, still don't know whats involved in a) checking whether or not its my matrix, how do I tell? b) how do I access the vents behind the dash board? Any help would be grately appriciated as I am really having a problem driving with steamed up windows!!! Grrrr

cat bypass? how does that work then? how much did it cost ya dude? Which C do you have?

Has anyone fitted a non CAT exhaust to their C? If so whats the performance like? Do you need to tweek anything or is it a straight swap?

err have u tried taking it to a garage for a diagnostics test? Costs about £50 but should tell ya what ya prob is. it worked for me :) -
thx for the tips I'm gonna take a look this weekend, don't think its the heater matrix as I do get air flow to the nearside and it is hot air, just not as strong as the drivers side. if it is the matrix can ya tell me whats involved to sort it please?

I seem to constantly have a small patch of condensation on the inside of my windscreen. The bottom nearside. Anyone else had this problem?
