I'm gonna change the glass in my mirrors at they are a little worse for wear, any tip? I don't wanna break them even though they're fooked.

nope it doesn't switch on at the switch, although it does seem to on occasion at random. Map light works fine.

I average about 25mpg but on a motorway run much closer to 30, I have a '93 VR6 with 119,000 miles

Hope I haven't fooked my motor up??!! I've got the wheels in gettin refurbished & currently have the C on axle stands. A mate of mine said that you're OK to put them on the jacking points, which is what I've done using bits of wood as spacers so the sills don't get scratched. just been out to check on her and opened the passenger door. it was a little reluctant to open & to close properly. Is it just cos its jacked up or is there any chance I've twisted it in some way? :roll:

Good point, there's also the fact that it leaches power & ever increasing fuel costs would go up.

Not sure if I should post this here or not??!! I'm wondering if anyone has retro-fitted aircon? If so, any tips or suggestions? Would a garage do it for me? How much would it cost? Would ya bother? etc

get your lamda tested. i.e. an emission test. Mine was faulty didn't realise til MOT time increased my ave MPG by about 30-40% :D

If you pull out the tray under the dash on the passenger side you should see a variety of relays & in line fuses. Sorry i can't be more specific but it was a while ago & I have drunk beer since :roll: Fortunately one of my mates is a mechanic & has access to a diagnostic computer, he got the fault code then consulted a wiring diagram. Then he traced the circuit until he found the blown fuse. Easy when ya know how eh?

nowt wrong with the fuel pipes under the inspection hatch & no further smell of fuel. V strange, I guess its ust one of those things?!! If its a perished pipe elsewhere then i guess, in time, it will get worse & become very obvious as to where it is. Do you guys find that the fuel guage goes down VERY quickly after 15-20miles or so? Then goes up & down as ya break & accelerate? i guess the dampener doesn't damp that well?

dude had a quick look for the black cover with 3 screws can't see it? Can ya be a bit more specific about where its located? the boot is stinkin of fuel btw

cool, didn't know it was plastic. I'll take a look in my boot at lunch time. I have noticed a petrol whiff before, when I haven't just filled up, so, maybe its a loose pipe as dazzy has mentioned??!!

under the boot carpet? Whats under there? What should I be looking for? Apart from fuel?

Just filled my C up with motion lotion, starting smelling fumes after driving about 20 miles. Took a look underneath & I can see a patch of fuel that appears to be leaking from the top of the tank. Anypone else ever had this issue? Is the tank specific to the C? Its a ,93 VR6 if that makes any difference

will put a pic on later, they look like electrical connectors. Possibly oil temp sensor?? & something else??
