Has anyone had their V6 remapped? If so, what's the advantages? I fancy getting mine done but am a little nervous that my engine could blow up. Any advice? and is there a place in Edinburgh that anyone can recommend?

do you still have the loom? -
what do you mean "delete it"?

part number is 021 133 423A but the main dealer didn't recognise the number. I'll try them again now I know what it's called

Yesterday I started my VR6 and something broke, I know there's a shocker. It's a plastic box at the top of the engine at the back, it has three connectors which sit into three hoses, two large and one really small one. It basically exploded. When I bought my 'rado, 8 years ago the fella who sold it me said that he had to replace it a couple of times and thankfully, he gave me a spare which I used yesterday. Any ideas on the part number? I am just being lazy, I could of course, just take it off and look for myself. Anyone else ever had this problem?

I had a new headlight switch a while ago. I've taken the uprated loom off for now until I can get this issue sorted. Everything works as it should with the uprated loom apart from the fuse blowing every time I switch to main beam. A quick fix is to put a higher rated fuse in but that cause the relay's to potentially melt. I'm sure I've had this issue before too, I need to have a good look at it at the weekend.

I have a new bonnet release cable along with all the stupid clips and that. My question is, how do I tighten it? Only the drivers side pops up and not the passenger side. I'm assuming I need to tighten it? If so how do i do it? Many thanks

I had to disconnect my uprated loom as one of the fuses kept blowing and I was worried as one time one of the relays melted and I don't fancy an engine fire, especially as I am still struggling to get my bonnet to open. It's one thing after the next with my 'rado lately, all part of the fun of owning an older car I guess.

I have the exact same problem, did you ever get it fixed? if so, how?
-
Knew about the total closure as I have always had an alarm that operates it. Didn't know about the Storm though. Today has been a learning day LOL
-
I've had a Corrado since 2003, it's always puzzled me lol
-
Is it just me or does the 'rado have two speeds for the intermittent wipe? Mine seems to fluctuate between two speeds but I have absolutely no idea how to select one or the other. Any clues?

I am thinking that I can just break away the redundant plastic bits, they're broken anyway, and that might make the job a little easier. I think I have a heat gun somewhere. Are the fog light units difficult to remove from the car? I'm assuming so as these have obviously been butchered on removal.
-
OK, cheers. Just don't wanna break them getting them out. Maybe a hair-dryer then some gentle persuasion
-
I've just got a pair of front fog lamps from someone breaking a later VR6. My problem is that the plastic housing has been broken and is missing in places. Does anyone know if you can remove the lights from the housing? Before I start trying and breaking them lol many thanks

bang on the nose fella, was just a fuse. *embarrassed*

Both have suddenly stopped working, are they linked? If so any tips on getting them working again?? Many thanks

Yeah, heard that about the MOT's. Not sure I can be bothered with the hassle now. I may try some Osram Nightbreakers. I have an uprated loom with some 100/80w blue bulbs off flea-bay so not sure how great they are, not exactly massively bright but certainly better than standard bulbs with the original wiring. What do you mean about the beam then? Do they just shine all over the shop? lol
