lol!! -
thanks Kempy - thats kinda what i thought but im prolly being over cautious about the offset as ive never gone to bigger wheels before seller had said they fit ok on his valver with standard suspension height so fingers crossed
-
here you go joe ;) radiator brackets http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=56303&highlight=stainless slam panel & others etc http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=72529&highlight=stainless

Sorry for the post being in 2 places but i need to get back to martin_b on here... Hi all - hopefully someone can help as im struggling with this will it / wont it fit I brought back my old 1990 16v 2 weeks ago & need to take the 17" wolf race wheels off as they rub the inner arch, plus im not completely sure what the 'standard' wheel size was as i cant remember from when i last owned it. Im on the point of agreeing to buy some BBS RX 2's which are 16" with an offset of ET45 & currently have 205*50*16 tyres on - can somebody please save my sanity & clarify if they would fit ok on standard suspension height without spacers? Thanks

Hello m8, welcome There are lots of great knowledgeable & helpful people on here :) You could grab yourself a bentley workshop manual, they come in handy on many an occassion. Annavr6 on here works at VW Heritage & has been working hard to increase their rado parts lists & there are some forum members who produce bespoke items & let us share them (daves16v short shifter & stainless steel its for example) good luck in getting the G60 running again & lets see some pics :D

WOW!! i had that kind of mileage from a few sets of avons during the time bridgestone stopped makning 15" tyres However, my last pair of RE002's lasted just over 12000 miles :D
-
Bloody hell Jim!!!! Well found, that is a good price but would fitting & balancing be additional? If you have 4 they are £78.39 inc vat & fitting & balancing from Event Tyres & no need to pay petrol to drive to a garage either ;)
-
Yes it is possible but make sure you put a nice thick towel or similar on your roof just in case anything slips
-
Hi VCL It would be helpful if you could say what version rado & early or late model / year, what wheel size (if non standard) & current tire size ;) If its a standard VR personally i dont think you can go far wrong with 205/50R15 86W BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE002 FZ I have tried avons, michelin, continental & none seem to have even similar grip in dry or wet & last nowhere near as long. I use http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/ as their price is excellent & they are a mobile fitter who take care during the job (rather than most cowboy tyre places) hope that helps
-
IIRC they sell them on ebay for not much at all & they can be changed without removing head lining but it is very fiddly.....and be careful not to scratch your roof like i did :(
-
^^^^indeed!!! I paid good money to have paint work done, including taking bonnet to bare metal......only to find 18 months later that i have thousands of tiny pimples cause the bodyshop didnt wipe the panel properly before spraying or had an unclean spray booth :(
-
Oh dear oh dear that doesnt sound good at all!!! What a disappointment :( When they dont do things right the 1st time it really knocks confidence that they will do it right the 2nd time - good luck

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

It is very fiddly indeed. what attempts have you tried? I couldnt find a diagram of the linkage in the bentley manual either :( I did have the thought last night that maybe a clever use of blue tack gaffer tape might be worth a try - blue tack round the part which goes into the hole & in the hole itself (just to steady it) & then strong gaffer tape to secure it better -
Hi Nick - i cant comment on your question....but....i did pose the similar question & was told there are 'friendly' places ;) PM me if that is too cryptic lol

on weds it was my birthday & the sun was shining so i fitted the beautiful infinity kappa 4.25" door speakers my lovely gf got me :D the gf & I then tried to fix her drivers door pin but gave up after an hour or so of frustration trying to get the metal part to relocate into hole in the plastic partwhich moves it up & down.... failed :( but tbc lol -
Good man!! what are you up against? has it any major issues? oh & welcome :)
-
Hi Micky Not sure about uploading video here but you could upload them to youtube & then post the links here ;) I think that what some other have done in the past
-
Good result then Rog :) Agreed value on a main policy will be my reason to go with them nxt year on the VR
-
How long ago did you give flux the OK Rog? IIRC there is normally a 14 cooing off period & though it may cost you an admin fee it might be worth a look
-
Thanks lilfuzzer - am having a look round, i i will let you know asap
-
PS - can anybody clarify the wheel dimensions that will fit a 16v without need for spacers etc please? both 15" & 16" if possible thanks got it - 4*100 with an offset of 35 to 45 - i think
