  1. This is going to be awesome... I can't wait...lol Rog.
  2. Been out in it a few times today and it's been fine, no misfires at all... Strange... Although it was difficult to start after being left for two hours this evening.. Took about 10 secs What's going on folks? Rog.
  3. Morning chums, 'Stormy' has developed a low rpm mis-fire, if I push the throttle from low rpm's (about 1200) it misses a couple of beats then picks up as normal, its worse under load like engine braking and then back on the power but I've noticed it from idle as well with no load. Anyone have any idea's?? Rog.
  4. Maybe it's time to badger Trimsport into making some. Rog.
  5. Another local owner... Good news, must be time for a Devon meet.
  6. Same with me Sean, I loved owning CRX's, always having a tinker but then I went and got a 53 plate Integra Type R (DC5), it was an awesome car but dare I say it, it was just too reliable, it never went wrong and tbh a bit soulless. Hence why I'm now having a love hate affair with 'Stormy', I love it...lol Rog.
  7. I too am thinking about a new sunroof, I repaired mine a few weeks back (mk3 motor) and was chuffed to bits with it but I've just noticed a big scratch down the panel were it has opened and caught something. I saw Ian's (the Ox) car at national day and noticed how OE the Passat glass roof looks. I've got a black interior with a grey roof lining, can you get the Passat roof with the same colour shade as the Raddo grey. Also has anyone got any pics with a glass roof fitted, with the shade closed would be great. Cheers Rog.
  8. Very nice mate, love the colour as well. Rog.
  9. Nice one, welcome to the forum, loads of good folk on here and a real hive of information. What wrong with the sunroof? If it tilts but won't open then a second hand replacement motor from a mk3 golf should sort it. (Well it did in my case). Rog.
  10. I'll give it a good 'metering' before I fit it mate, I know the pin out like the back of my hand now...lol BTW its surprisingly easy to hot wire a raddo, I speak from experience...lol Rog.
  11. Its done proper mate, took the relay to pieces and soldered a wire onto the coil contact, even drilled a hole in the cover for the wire to exit. Rog.
  12. Story of my day mate, check out my post in this thread... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=87607 Rog.
  13. So today was interesting... First off, I was lucky, Andy has replaced the ignition switch before so it was cable tied in and I didn't have the hassle of undoing the 'screw from hell'...lol The switch was on the bench and disassembled in under 10 mins... result.. Problem located, the plastic rod in the middle of the switch that holds the radio power contacts is very worn. And after a bit of 'poking' is now broken... bugger...lol So, not being one to give up and also not wanting to buy a new switch I decided to 'make' a replacement rod using the earth conductor of a bit of 6mm cable Ive got kicking about the garage. Little bit of fine wire and some solder later and its starting to take shape. The 'workstation'...lol More solder, a fair but of filing and a few hours later.... taa daa.. a new center rod... result. And that's when my luck ran out... whilst reassembling the switch I managed to drop it and lost two of the small springs... bugger bugger bugger... cue lots and lots of swearing and general unhappiness...grrrr Two mins and £5.97 later and I now have a new switch ordered on eBay. And that folks, is how I spent my friday... Rog.
  14. Little update, I've modified a fuel pump relay with a push button to run the pump manually, this way I can extend the prime time if I get trouble starting. So I tested it and it started fine, however I did notice a petrol smell, on investigating I found a leak at the pump outlet, I guess this may be letting air in when the car is stood and this could be my starting problem... fingers crossed. Rog.
  15. Just a thought mate, why don't you just tax it for 6 mths then surrender the tax when the summer is over for a refund. Be a shame to miss out on some good weather and a few upcoming meets, SW dubs summer mega meet is coming up soon. Rog.
  16. Quick one.... like a complete idiot I've managed to remove relay 21 (was actually trying to get the fuel pump relay out). Can someone tell me where is goes... I've narrowed it down to the two slots top row on the right. Cheers, Rog. (fool)
  17. Looks like you have some impressive plans mate but a shame it's coming off the road. You always welcome to have a squirt in mine if you need a VR fix, also give me a shout if you need a hand with anything. Rog.
  18. Stick a meter on it and start pulling fuses, that way you can find out which circuit is shorting to earth. Rog.
  19. Good work mate, this is going to be so sweet when it's finished, I'm actually getting excited for you....lol BTW, when are you next down here? Don't forget to pop in for a brew. Rog.
  20. No, what I mean it starts to splutter to life, like one cylinder is firing then another etc etc until it's running on all six. Rog.
  21. Afternoon chums, I've got a bit of a starting problem with 'Stormy' Sometime it takes ages to start, I'm cranking it over for about 10 secs and then it'll splutter into life. I've thinking that maybe it's a fuel problem. I've noticed that when I turn the ignition the pump only runs for less than a second, now on my old honda's it used to run for at least a few seconds so is my VR normal? how long should the pump run for?? Many thanks Rog.
