  1. Sean, where do you have all this recored, there are a few episodes I've missed. Rog.
  2. Shame you never got round to fitting them....lol.. ;)
  3. As above, I had the same problem with mine, removed it, stripped it down and gave it a good clean, now works fine. I did notice a fair bit of copper dust in and around the motor commutator, this may have been causing shorts and hence tripping the thermal fuse. Rog.
  4. Did you have any joy with this mate? Rog.
  5. Nice one Sean, at least you not wasting your FRP...lol Rog.
  6. Evening chums, well after spending a whole day removing and repairing and replacing my spoiler a now have another problem... It looks like 'Stormy' is not happy unless something is broken....lol Anyway, my latest problem...... My stereo doesn't switch off, normally it powers down when I remove the ignition key but now it's just staying on... I have to turn it off manually. So, how do I remove the ignition switch please?? On other cars I've owned the switch has been held in with tamper proof screws and needed drilling out. Rog.
  7. Thanks mate, much appreciated Rog.
  8. Yes mate, the bit that the air box connects too and the bit above it. Rog
  9. hi all, I'm after the two bits of plastic that sit behind the drivers side light, there is a hole in the lower bit that the air filter box connects to. Rog.
  10. Kev, would you see all these faults if the MAF is defective, just that after reading this thread I'm beginning to think mine may be broken, I get poor running when cold, little bit 'jumpy' and sometimes surging when cruising, it seems ok once warmed up. TBH I thought it was just the fact that mine has been remapped for the cams but after seeing this maybe my MAF is at fault. Is there any tests I can do on it? (Vagcom is clear) Rog.
  11. Stunning car, someone is going to get a bargain. Darren, have you thought about a 944 or maybe a 928 Rog.
  12. Good work Sean.... this has got me thinking.... maybe we could have a 'please could I borrow' section. For example, my ABS is goosed, I've got a replacement pump unit but don't really want to change it only to find out it's the ecu. However Rob has kindly offered to lend my his spare ecu to fault find, this has worked well at a local level but it would be awesome to do at forum / club level. Rog.
  13. I've had it off already Sean, (when I did the bottom end) and all seems fine, I'd rather not do it again as I have some rather expensive oil in the old girl atm. TBH it doesn't really bother me, a quick blip and all is normal, it's just I rather know what the problem was if you know what I mean. Rog.
  14. Just had a quick google and it appears that it could be the oil pressure relief valve that is at fault. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=22528 Rog.
  15. Mmmmmmm, interesting, I can't see how a failing pump can cause high oil pressure.... Am I missing something here? Rog.
  16. I've noticed a strange thing with my oil pressure. Sometimes when I start the car from cold I've noticed that the oil pressure shoots up high, 8-9 bar, it'll stay like that until I slightly 'blip' the engine it then drops to normal cold idle level (about 4 bar) Anyone have any idea whats going on?? Rog.
  17. Gorgeous car and owned by the right person.
  18. Loads for sale on ebay mate, get a mk3 golf motor as they seem to be a bit cheaper and for some strange reason seem to work better. I bought one a few weeks back for £14 delivered, worked a treat. Rog.
  19. This was on the CRX forum the other day. It's the great Senna with his CRX, it's also a well known fact that Clarkson also owned a CRX in his youth... So, I was wondering has anyone famous ever owned the mighty 'C' Rog.
  20. Andy, what side is the kick plate, my passenger side one is 'half' missing....lol Rog.
  21. Awesome, she has some good skills, I like the 'stray' leg that appears at 1.38...lol Rog.
  22. Looks awesome, let me know if you are ever down Plymouth way and we'll have a little mini meet. Rog.
  23. Evening chums. I've got the Lupo / TT wiper mod on mine so popped down to Halfords to pick up some new wipers. Took one of my old ones in and after a bit of searching managed to get a set of Bosch aero blades in the correct size (19") And fitted. Anyway they are £17.49 each... however I've got a Halfords trade card and for some strange reason it gives a good discount on wiper blades. I paid £8.25 each, which I think is a good price. If anyone else wants a set I'm more than happy to get some more the post them on, I'm not sure how much postage would be but I'm sure I could get these on your door step for £20 a pair (maybe a little more, maybe a little less) Let me know if anyone is interested. Rog.
