  1. hey i am after a wheel refurb for my estorils as well. I figure on getting this done (instead of buying new alloys) so i can spend more on decent rubber. Does anyone on the forum know who does this sort of thing in the leeds/yorkshire area? Thanks
  2. 2:30 to 3pm today Red J*84*** G60 On the A65 going through Guiseley in the direction of Leeds Nice looking motor!!! :)
  3. thats an awesome site!!! ps I had to register to watch the movies
  4. Hey I have just bought a milltek full system for my 2.0l to change from standard and IMO the in-car noise is mildly louder. Outside it gurgles nice and deeply on idle but not to noisy. My friends that have seen and heard it think its just right for car and they are all fairly straight laced when it comes to the car modding scene. I am not sure if the CAT has something to do with that so it may well sound different on a pre 92.
  5. i had a milltek full system delivered and he put it on for me He came recommended by GSF as well
  6. yeah it was including parts Thought it was quite reasonable and it was what i budgeted for. If anyone in the Leeds area wants to know then I can forward the address. Cheers
  7. Old codgers that dawdle along at 10 mph Anyone in a nova with a big exhaust (why is it they think they are the dogs hairy ones) ITS A NOVA YOU MUPPET!!!! People that dont know how to use filter lanes and just block you off. when you let someone in and they just dont acknowledge you at all. It makes me wanna insert my exhaust in them. good lord I am getting quite upset here i better stop!!!
  8. Hey Just had my car fully serviced and my new exhaust fitted for a grand total of £220 Is this a good price? He is a VW approved and has a VW stamp and is a german performance specialist. The parts needed where engine oil flushing oil oil filter plugs fuel filter and seals distributer cap & rotor arm brake fluid exhaust sealant If it is a good price then it maybe useful info for Leeds/ Bradford based Corrado owners and I could post his details up. Later
  9. 30 years old 1989 Mk2 Golf GTi 8v - Had it for five years and it cost me an arm and a leg. Ended up giving it to my mate (2 months after a 1200 quid engine recon) for nowt and it is affectionatly known as "The Beast". I will get it back when he buys his audi later this year 1994 Corrado 2.0l 16v - God, I love this car
  10. make sure you take pics of the spot where it occurred and get something to them in writing fast I claimed for a bike wheel that buckled after going through, what can only be described as, a small ravine on the A65 just out of Leeds I got the cash and it wasnt a cheap wheel as well ...............200 quid if I remember rightly it was a while ago though

    MOT

I read on the Milltek website that there was a 10pc power increase but I didnt really pay much attention to it. I looked at the Sports Cats they do as well. Expensive but I reckon it will be worth it further down the line. At the moment I just want to stop the bloody knocking that the current one does. Oh and make mine sound like a beast as well!!! Not looking forward to the insurance quote now!!! But its something I am prepared to live with Bally - I was, and still am, thinking of selling it but this changes from day to day as I am a bit bonkers like that. If the right car comes up then I may well go for it but until then I am more then happy with mine.

    MOT

hey all My car passed its MOT first time yesterday so I celebrated with the purchase of a Milltek full stainless exhaust system. Has anyone else got one? What can i expect? Watch this space for pics Also I am looking to get my wheels refurbed. I live in the Leeds area. Does anyone know of anyone that does this? Later all. Buz
  14. I cant comment on the driving experience as I havent driven one yet but IMO the RX8 will be alot like the audi TT in that when you first see them they have a real "wow" factor about them, but after a while (due to the superb price tag, engineering quality etc) there will be lot of them on the road. If you dont see that as a problem then go for it.....................just find a way to keep the storm..........

    buying a G60

Hey all. I have seen a g60 for sale locally can anyone give me a list of things to check/ask. I know a mechanic who will ultimately check the car after I have given it a look. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Laters
  18. Found this modded C on the net Couldnt find any pics with the hood up but can imagine it wouldn't look too good. Kind of cool with it down and you would certainly get some looks!
  19. No worries man. I know it is all jesting. Have been smiling like a cheshire cat whilst all the banter has been going on. Watched a Jackie Chan film the other night where he handbrake turns his car into a car parking spot at about 90. Would love to try it.............. but not in my car  Thats how I started thinking about the whole parking thing and the fact my radar is way out when it comes to reverse parking. I am too use to driving forwards I guess
  20. While you're at it, you could get your employee to walk in front waving a red flag  Surely it will be a yellow flag
  21. firstly  secondly I think a few of you have taken my comments a bit to literally. Maybe i should have put "I can park but I am still a tad unsure about how much space I have behind me causing me concern as I dont want to prang my pride and joy," but its to late for that now. I have come to the conclusion I think what I need is a lever on the dash to pop the boot enabling someone under my employment to beep (getting quicker as I near the car behind me) as I reverse.
  22. I cant park I have had my corrado a year now and I still cant judge the distance at the rear when reverse parking. The other day I did a very neat reverse parking manouvre and I thought I would just edge it back a bit more. I gritted my teeth and said a small prayer and inched back. I thought I was about 6 inches from the front end of the car behind me so I stopped. I thought I would get out and have a look before I pulled it forward a bit. Low and behold you could have fit another corrado behind me!!!!
  23. hmmmmmmm not sure about that. I once put a headlight switch in my golf which set fire to the electrics!!!!! Dont want to risk that with the C Cheers anyhow
