  1. Outbox - didn't know you could see the outbox as it is an email sent through the forum not outlook or webmail. PM'ed him asking for more pics. Mod edit: Please start a classified ad if you have something to sell. Thanks
  2. Moodz has his Gleaming Red VR6 for sale and I'm extremely interested in going and looking with a view to purchasing. However, despite adding to his thread saying this he hasn't answered the thread, nor an email sent through the forum. So does anyone know him or have contact with him to ask him to have a look at the thread and try to progress the sale please? Thanks Jon
  3. washed it (and the Golf that makes way for it when it gets sold on Monday)
  4. New boy here again. Still not regretting buying my VR6 but I'd like to sort out the paint work a little. It being a 17 year old car it is no longer in show room condition. There are stone chips, light scratches and a few deeper scratches. There are even a few bubbles of rust (especially on the rear spoiler). The "office expert on all things" has suggested having the car "mopped". He had this done to his Porsche 911 and it was really effective. I will freely admit I am fairly hopeless at things mechanical and practical so I think it woud be a waste of cash and dangerous if I bought myself a polisher and put a load circles on the car or grind it down to the metal. I've heard of mobile paint shops like www.revive-uk.com who will touch up chips and scratches better than I could . . . . so what do you think please? Get the car "mopped" then get the imperfections seen to? Is this the right order to do it? Or the other way around? Also anyone got anyone they would recommend in Surrey to do either or both these jobs? Rough idea of cost? Thanks experts!
  5. Sorry, I thought more information was better than too little! Thanks for the detailed response.
  6. The 3 knobs are left for the direction, middle for heat, right for speed. The direction knob is stiff to turn from the Windscreen (11 o'clock) but goes to Footwell (7 o'clock) and Footwell/Dashboard Vents (5 o'clock) but doesn't want to go to Dashboard vents only (2 o'clock) Don't want to force it and break anything and get it stuck on either of the last two as these are effectively the least useful. It works on Windscreen just fine which is the most important. Thanks for your response. :notworthy:
  7. One of the small niggles with my new pride and joy is with the ventilation system. I can turn the knob to three of the four positions - windscreen, footwell, footwell plus dashboard vents BUT not the dashboard vents on their own. Is this a known problem with a straightforward fix or "just one of those things"?
  8. I would be interested in a full kit please. Can you let me know how to pay and all that please? :notworthy:
  9. I drove it 120 miles home having impulse bought it on ebay!
