I have a G60 and I just spent a lot of time replacing the heater core because it blew out on the way to San Francisco. After 20 hours of redoing the interior to get out all of the antifreeze I drove it again. The temperature for the water and oil then were extremely high. I just replaced the thermostat, radiator thermoswitch (for the fan?), Serpentine belt and V-belt, and expansion tank. I turn it on and let it idle and the water temp goes up to 210F/100C just like that, my oil temperature barely hits 200 at that point! Then I drive it around the block and the water temp goes up to 110C/230F. The oil temp the is skyrocketing at 240F/115C my car's water normally runs at barely under 200F/93C and oil runs at 210F/100C. I do not currently have coolant in the car and I have just straight water. This is a minor factor and not a 50 degree factor. The expansion tank also overfills itself when the car started cold at min. And finally the fan doesnt turn on till the water temp in the car reads 230! I dont know but something is screwy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
P.S. Thermostat and radiator thermoswitch are 176F switches. and are there other fan switches that I should replace besides the after-run switch, the bentley doesnt label them all clearly or I am just blind.
