  1. Even better Rob! I don't really know how they're made up but I think the in tank unit is made up of a few parts from what I remember. The pump itself sits in a housing which is mounted on rubber feet from what I remember. I've heard that these break down so the pump rolls around a bit which has caused cutting out issues when cornering for some. I need to investigate a bit more to see what is going on. My tank isn't connected but I strapped it back on to the underside for transportation when I moved house. We will be finished with the house renovation by Summer so I can put some time into the poor girl then!

This could be what’s wrong with mine Sean . It does happen on corners. I’m going through a non interest stage at the moment. I’m doing bits but when I feel like it . Maybe it’s the weather lol .

  2. I’ve dug through the waste bin and found my old film that goes on the top . If I put it back (what’s left of it ) I can see the digital display. I’ve now found out that the red film is underneath the digital display. So I’ve got to remove the circuit board from the white casing to get to the screws that hold them in place . A bloke on the CCGB page has sent me pics . I thought the colour change was done from the top but it’s underneath.

  3. What have you used to replace the film please .

I’ve just gone back to Oem green, I’ve removed the red plastic film and fitted some green film . I’ve also fitted new bulbs . I know it’s day light and the clocks are not the brightest at best , but I can hardly see the digital clocks at all . I will have another look in the dark but you should still be able to see the digital display in the daylight.

    Kind regards

    Rob

  4. Correct in thinking the blue strip powers the bulbs, and that these are the blue (or faded blue) 509t bulbs. There were smaller ones which powered the LCDs which were a slightly different casing. A few people used to fit those small 12v fluro neon type bulbs which were the right length. Like Fla I have fitted an LED strip the full width of mine eliminating the need for the power strip. Not sure if I kept it though.

Thank you. What’s involved in fitting an led strip please .

  5. Sorry chaps me again . I’ve put a shout out on the CCGB page as well. Am I right in thinking all the bulbs are the same ?. Now I’ve removed the horrible strip light that was in there I’m left with no bulbs at the top . I take it the blue strip powers the three top bulbs ?.

  6. The original design for the digital LCD displays (clock inclusive) was a clear 5w 12v incandescent style bulb with a green translucent film to aid in colour diffusion. There are a few options; have a different tinted film with the original clear bulb, or have a frosty translucent film with a coloured led. I opted for a strip of coloured leds as I found that a single bulb caused spotting.

Great info again thank you . Hopefully I will get them sorted soon .

  7. Hi Rob sorry just saw this thread. I changed mine to blue several years back. The leds i soldered in were clear but gave a blue light. The clocks had a green filter which i removed and out some light diffusion film in instead. I think the digital displays also had gree film - these i changed to red using a red filter. So its quite doable but give me a shout if you need any input.

Thanks for the info Hasan , much appreciated. I will have to find somewhere to get the bulbs as I can’t tell looking on line . Heritage don’t sell them .
