I have my Red 92 G60 Mk2 tornado 16v - my first resto - has sat for 2 years now and in need of a refresh Mk2 Pearl Grey 16v - currently rebuilding the engine (trying) and is currently a bare shell with bits of welding to be carried out Blue Corrado VR6 - which you put me onto - future project And my family think i am NUTS when it comes to these cars

  5. Wow Keyo How on earth did you find out about those gearbox parts i would have thought those parts would have been confined to history and anything available today will have used, abused and generally fit for scrap How did you even get through the door at gemini !! Cant wait for the build Who is doing the build for you?
  6. if i can remember these things pop and bang when you come of the pedal (clue is in the name) and you can be heard several streets away before you arrive i always remember them being attached to vauxhall novas for some reason
  7. Looks a very good example there someone has put a lot of effort in that one for sure i am not a great lover of the bbs splits to be honest in general - to much effort to clean and maintain Dubshed is the biggest VAG show here with plenty of cars from all over the island turning up (no show last year and i doubt one this year also with the covid nightmare) Plenty of trailer queens also with some owners with deep pockets
  8. thanks philly for the link there actually is a difference in duration i thought the difference was only in the block
  9. Is there any difference in golf and corrado vr6 cams Part numbers show a different figure at the end
  10. i had a look at one several weeks ago and completely agree on the alloys - look a bit naff to be honest everyone is just waiting on the R as far as i can see cant help but think the gti will be in its shadow for the foreseeable future
  11. why ?? for not that much more you would be able to buy a running driving car at least?? maybe he or she has seen it in the flesh and know its a decent car
  12. Thats a good tip there - have not seen that before by the way owning old vw's can drive us all to drink!!
  13. at a guess to create some type of membrane - the entire underside of your car to help keep the dreaded salt at bay??
  14. Been looking at that car on ebay myself - curious to see what it goes for You will need to see that car in the flesh before bidding as it could be an absolute rot box as you say keyo No idea of mileage , early vr6 seats also
  15. thanks starting to collect parts for a future project
  16. The seller is in the motor trade and had it for his own car that he had and its german !! Not very often you get anything corrado related for decent money these days!!
  17. got this sorted checked the usual and found a loose jubilee clip on the intercooler pipework - now a nice even idle A rare easy fix for a corrado
  18. pity the corrado vr6 is model specific for radiators - have not seen a top manufactured one (eg Hella) for long time new Plenty for the golf and even t4 van
  19. i had trouble bleeding the brakes on my car i have an ezi bleed and struggled with it

in the end i borrowed a professional kit which was more successful

make sure the level in the reservoir does not go below the min

my problem was as i opened the nipple it was drawing air through the nipple thread giving the impression of air in the system

My brake pedal was quite spongy after bleeding but a few days driving the pedal firmed back up again

not long after i bled my brakes though my brake pedal suddenly started dropping to the floor - not good while driving the thing first i replaced the slave cylinder which did not cure it as it turned out to be the master cylinder that was at fault

  20. Itilia autos with andy by any chance or the guy from south africa who has one of the best workshops you will ever see and the sun always shines
