  1. My daily is an '07 punto grande and i the only thing ive had to pay for in 2 years is tyres and mot :D 40 mpg too ;)
  2. Brilliant cheers, i had a look the other day and i noticed that the circumference of the hole left is raised, did you sand it down or just blend it in? The rubber bung idea is good but its only my contingency if i don't smooth it. :) Definately a simple mod but adds to the subtle smooth look!
  3. I was thinking of doing this, but actually filling the hole and smoothing the bodywork? Has anyone on here done this? :)
  4. As title says, i'm after a Good condition Distributor for my 1.8l 16v (not sure if it differs between the 2.0l model?) Please let me know, thank you! :)
  5. Cheers for the advice! Definately going to get it working how i'd like before i spend money on aesthetics :D I' am planning to get a compressor and spray gun and spray it myself when the weather warms up which will help if i get any scratches/dents i can just fix them myself hopfully :) although never had a carpark dent or scratch with any car ive owned yet (touch wood).
  6. Did a little bit today when i got a few minutes. Debadged the rear and removed the number plate surround which i'm thinking of replacing with a metal plate, having one made up to see what it'll look like. Going to remove the ariel on top and smooth it over when i can work out how to remove the headliner underneath temporarily. Got a new toy as well for when i sand the bodywork down :)
  7. Cool, will look into getting some new wiper blades and motor then as the previous owner did mention about them being a bit pants! :) Just looked up the DG Autotech loom and it looks a very decent bit of kit! Definately on the wish list! Thanks for the help!
  8. Thanks for the info, that gives me an idea on what to do now! I'm normally just into bodywork but i really want this car to be reliable as i've spent to many times sat at the side of the road with past cars waiting for the recovery truck! :) I'll definately have a look at the wiper linkage as i've just got myself a scuttle panel from a mk2 to cover it all up :) isn't there a mod that can be done to swap the wipers from a different model? Think i read about the headlight loom to, is it something that i can just buy and then attach onto the existing set-up?
  9. As a new owner of a Corrado, my current situation is that i have another car on finance as a daily driver, my plan is to work on the corrado and get it so that it is my daily driver but i'm not that knowledgable about the inner workings, so was wondering if any other owners had any advice? I own a 1990 1.8l 16v model and i want to know what parts are good to replace and what things i need to look out for and sort out?
  10. Makes me wonder why i haven't found a rado at a scrapyard yet though :)
  11. Yeah i agree, can take or leave series 3! The Tundra and the Hitcher are by far the best :)
  12. Taken *Liam Neeson' 10/10 Amazing Film!!! And as i've been ill in bed for the last coupld of days i've got through series 1 & 2 of The Mighty Boosh! Bit marmite but i love it! :D
  13. Wonder if she told the insurance company the true story of how the front got bashed? :D
  14. Here you go: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7898&p=77306&hilit=bonnet+lifter#p77306 Followed the instructions but my piston wouldn't shut so think i got a dodgy one, going to take it to the workshop at work to see if they can loosen it up a bit :)
  15. Well due to the bad weather and not getting a unit sorted i think its going to take me a while to get anything done, taken the door handles off ready for repair and gave her a clean in the subzero temperature needed to be done as it had been sitting for a while on the previous owners drive, hopefully when the snow f :censored: ks off i can get the front bumper and slam panel off and get some more important work done.
  16. Edit* Have now found some instructions online. :D
  17. Any chance if any of you have the single piston bonnet lifter installed that you could post some pics to show where the bracket sits on the underside of the bonnet, got the kit and lined it up but still can't work out how exactly goes on, and i don't want to drill unnecesary holes in the bonnet if i don't have to. Thanks!
  18. I'm not quite sure on my plans for the engine yet, its my first Corrado so i'm still learning about it to be honest. Going to start work on it next week hopefully!!
  19. Been busy watching films working nights seen a couple more i've never seen before :) Human Traffic 8/10 Wicked film had me in stitches! Harry potter 7 9/10 Not a massive fan of harry potter but still thought the film was brilliant, action all the way! first one to make me jump as well haha :)
  20. (Pulp fiction & Resevoir Dogs) Yes I am, those films have good pace and action where a lot of things happen in a short space of time, there is a lot of dialogue that advances the plot or backstory. But his more recent offerings do nothing for me, it seems he is trying to add gravitas to the scenes, but I think he tries to hard and they just end up being drawn out for no particular benefit. His characters speak far too slowly and it really annoys me! The problem is that he has so much clout in Hollywood and can generate so much money that no-one wants to tell him he's being over indulgent and needs to cut out 45 mins of silence from his movies.[/quote:fnwqtpxh] Fair one mate, to each their own and all that :)
