  1. sweet be nice if I can get it working before the temps really drop when it did work, for like... 2 days, it took a while to heat up, could this cause that as well as the wire might not have been getting a full contact?
  2. Cheers Ram I will have a look tomorrow, I need to test the passangers side is working proper as well because I'm taking the Mrs word for it, but this will be my first go to if it works
  3. Hi guys sorry if this has been covered, I had a search for the problem I was having but I couldn't find anything. I've managed to get a set of heated seats for my C, I took them out myself so I managed to get the loom/switches as well, so I've fitted them in and put in the relays/loom etc... and both worked for a bit, but now the drivers side one has stopped working. I can hear the relay click when I turn the seat on, but there's no signs of a voltage drop like you get on the passangers seat. The loom had two wires on it, a grey with a blue tracer which is for the illumination, the other was a black wire with a white tracer which I assume to be the main power as the ground seems to be done at the relay end, so I've tested one of the wires in the fuze and found an ignition live. Anyone any ideas what can cause this, or a wiring diagram to make sure I've put it in right. Any help would be great as winters well on its way
  4. Haha Where did I go pass you? I probably wasn't paying proper attention... Which is bad because I was driving Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
  5. I can't say I've ever seen you but I'll keep keep an eye out next time I'm down that way, you on clubpolo? You might know my mate from there with the 6n1, or Scotty from Manch:union? Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2

    Vr6 isv

I think mine has bite the dust, so if anyone has one on a car they're breaking could you let me know cheers
  9. Hello everyone, hope you're all doing well. I had a search around on here with my issue and I'm guessing it's going to be a vac leak but I thought I'd best ask on here first before I go replacing pipes. My VR6 used to idle at about 750rpm, but was a bit lumpy and hesitated sometimes when you let off the throttle, but my radiator went recently and I managed to pick up a new Hella one and got it fitted. After it got fitted I noticed my revs on idle lifted to about 900rpm and the engine started hunting a bit, so the other day I removed my ISV and gave it a good clean, put it back on and now my revs are sitting at 1000+ and seems to lift slightly as the engine warms up, and they've started bouncing as well when I started it today. I'm waiting on my mate who has Vagcom and a OBD2 to OBD1 converter so I can code read it, but until I get him to look at it is there anything I can look at? I tested the ISV by shorting it on the battery and it opened and closed no problems, I pulsed it about 6 times so I assume it's working? Should I be looking at replacing the blue temp sender? Any help would be great ---------- Post added at 7:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 7:07 PM ---------- Also, which is probably unrelated, but I've noticed the cooling fans are kicking in a little later than they used to, usually the fan would run a little at 90 degrees, then cut out, then it would hold the temp a little higher than 90, now the initial fan won't kick in till around 97 degrees and it holds it temp at around 100 degrees
  10. Get cracking on fitting yours mate... when weather permits anyways
  11. Possibly, would do until I can get a Hella one, any ideas how much postage to Manchester will be?
  12. I know, I just hoped someone possibly had a good condition one knocking around, was worth a shot anyway cheers man
  13. as per title, I need a radiator in good condition as mine burst the other day and I don't have money to buy one new right now cheers
  14. Jay told me the same thing with the Octavia climatroni and they should be interchangeable, would be ideal so you could keep the original green theme. Can the filter over the climatronic digital display be changed do you know? I'd like to change it to white/black then get some DDI clocks, get some red/white colouring going on. Question, when you fitted the climatronic display, did you fit it in front of the centre console holes or behind them? if you know what I mean, mines fitted in front of them and I think it is sat too far forward, getting the cover tonight, try and make it look a bit more stock
  15. That looks spot on, I'm gonna ask my mate for the surround tonight from the Bora, it's the walnut effect style but it will do till I can get one of eBay. I've got the early VR so I'm on OBD1 but I left all the Climatronic loom in there so it's always an option if I ever converted to OBD2, did you use the Kuftec loom? or made your own from the original loom? I've just found these which I'm thinking of getting and changing all my switches to red and film on the trip computer, get it all matching http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Passat-35i-Corrado-T4-plasma-glow-dials-260-KMH-DG-/220448600958?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3353c2b37e#ht_3035wt_1139
  16. Ah ok, well I could take a pic of them tonight if you want and see if they're any help, you do have a fair few sets of clocks don't you
  17. Looking really good, my mate has a set of sports clocks from the V5 Bora which I nicked the climatronic out of, I don't know if they're the sports clocks you're referring to but he's probably selling them
  18. look forward to seeing the new pics, some major surgery this but the outcome is going to be amazing
  19. Brilliant, be sure to get some pics if you can, get an idea what's in store for me then.
  20. Brilliant, I read on here that the Passat climatronics were the way to go as they're nice to fit. Mine still has some of the bits for air con but I'm not 100% on what's missing, once I know and source some parts I'm going to consider putting it in. One of them, thought it's coming up to winter now so not point in rushing about to get the air con working, then I heard we're due another heat wave soon and I'm now thinking it would be nice to have it in. So are MK4 condenser a good fit then? I think that's the main part that's missing from mine
  21. amazing work, can't wait to see this when it's done. So glad I didn't take my mates dash and try to take this on or I'd have gone :bonk: by now lol
  22. hahaha, it's nicer than having air pretty much coughed out of the vents at you, tones nicer being able to have cold air as well, not just hot air all the time. is that a MK3 Golf climatronic unit from the Highline? I still need to find a way of making the cover fit and change my CD player for one that sits in flush.
  23. Cheers pal, I'm gonna have to have a proper look through your thread, my mate offered me the dash out of the Bora as well but I said no, so it would be good to see how hard it would have been to fit, see if I saved myself a nightmare of a job lol It shouldn't be much harder than my install then, just need to cut out a whole in the firewall for the air con pipes and wire in a few more wires, if you have all the air con gubbins that is and you can stand having your car off the road for a bit.
  24. It's all in and everything now, I will post up some pics tomorrow, just need to find a way to make the controls look a little more stock. Even all the diagnostics stuff? I really didn't like the idea of cutting in to ECU wires if I'm honest, I don't think getting the air con working on it will be much harder as I plan to do it in the future. Just got to bite the bullet and start cracking, from the look of your signature it would be a nice addition to your mod list
