  1. Genuine Ones are about £8 each from VW. £6.70+vat each to be precise. Rang up last week.
  2. Chains and locks etc are a good deterrent too. It is a trade off between a disklok and snap off wheel. I'm swaying for the snap off because they look cool, are a deterrent and anti theft and much more convenient than a rattly, heavy lock. True, but I don't know what's worse, never seeing your pride and joy again or seeing it trashed. Plus I don't believe vandalism is covered with insurance?
  3. Problem with the relays is hassle. I can see that getting real boring real quick. Something accessible and easy would be nice. A hidden cut off/kill switch maybe? The problem with this is that that it's not really a detergent and they'll already be in the car. Being the mindless scum thieves are they'll just rip the car apart trying to start it, plus I have known of vandalising cars when they've failed to steal them.
  4. How much how much how muuuuuuuch!?
  5. My Corrado is looking pretty sweet at the moment with the shining sun and it's starting to get some good attention from the locals... Some of it unwanted. I'm a little paranoid after my last MK2 was stolen. Really paranoid. It has a Cat1 Alarm and immobiliser on it, I never leave anything on show and always have the glove-box/ashtrays open. I'm anal where I park and I'm a serial sad-act curtain twitcher. - to the point I'll get out of bed if I hear any suspect sounds. My car is parked on the road due to not having a drive. My next pad will have a drive at least, hopefully a garage, but for now I'm stuck with what I've got. I'm looking at getting a snap-off boss and a CCTV system installed to keep my mind at ease so I can chill out a little. But what security measures do you guys take to keep your pride and joy safe?
  6. As the title, I want a Momo Team 280 with a Momo boss and a Snap Off kit for added security. What you got?
  7. A set. One drivers (top two pictures) and one passengers (bottom two pictures). The drivers has the "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR" on it.
  8. Crossmember/powerflex bushes provisionally sold to Erny.
  9. Front: -1.2 +/- 0.2 Rear: Unadjustable
  10. Updated with: DDI Blue mirror glass, VR6 throttle body and Corrrado/G60 rear badges.
  11. List Updated. Wishbone sold to Strom2, BBM front mount sold on E38. Thanks
  12. Subframe sold.. List updated.
  13. Nice one boys, thanks for the info, I'll have another go today. :) Sent from my iPhone
  14. Still here, surprised these haven't gone yet?
  15. Right, For the front speakers there is effectively a single positive and earth wire which goes from the headunit to the dash speaker. Then another separate but same coloured positive and earth wire which goes to the door speaker. So the wires in your hand (in between your thumb) goes from the door speaker to the dash tweeter. The other wire just touching your finger end goes from the dash tweeter to the stereo. The dash tweeter has one input and one output connection. The drivers side is identical; just with blue wiring instead of red I believe. Hope that makes sense? EDIT: just to clarify that's how the original speakers wire up. I have just installed components and they were set up as follows.. I had to join the two wires you have pictured, so effectively it's a single wire from the stereo to the door speakers; then I wired from the door speaker to the dash speaker. It'll all depends on the speakers you are installing on how you wire them up.
  16. I'm in need of a passenger side, electric window regulator. Must be fully working with no broken clips, especially the cable guides. Thanks.
  17. Can be as cheap and as expensive as you like. To do it yourself cheapest option would be that you'll just need sand paper, various grades, say from 360 up to 3000, then some metal polish. But expect about 5 hours minimum per wheel, depending on the condition and the wheel in question. To put things in perspective I polished some BBS centre nuts which were originally powdercoated, took me 4 hours per nut. Then for about £30-60 you can buy kits off the Internet which attaches to a drill. Make sure it's a restoration kit which includes abrasive attachments. That'll cut the time down massively. Then you can buy a bench grinder and polishing kit for around £100+. This is the best and most professional option. Best bet is to post a photo of your wheels do we can assess the best course of action.
  18. Ecclesall Rd South, Sheffield - Yesterday about 5.30pm I saw a Green (classic green?) on some shiny wheels drive past, up near the old Gilders. Looked immaculate, I nearly knocked my GF out when I pointed at it in suprise
  19. Nice one, Just picked up a pair of brand new genuine VW ones for £20 posted. God bless eBay. :)
  20. SKF - Part Number VKBA529 The VW bearings are, well used to be made by SKF, I believe VW use some French firm for their bearings now. But the SKF should be OE quality.
  21. I just picked up some SKF ones for £6 each from Andrew Pages at trade price. I'll get the part numbers in the morning for you.
  22. That's what I'm anticipating, I'm powdercoating some hubs so need the old ones out, I'd like to keep them but fat chance in that. Are they the correct part numbers? I want to stick OE ones in really. Either VW, ATE or Hella.
  23. Hi everyone! I'm in need of the two front (left and right) ABS sensors for a 1994 VR6, just the bit which bolts to the hubs. I've had a look on vagcat and with so many part numbers and vague descriptions I'm struggling to find any. Thanks!
