  1. 126k. I only covered 355 miles last year :nono: Must try harder this year :)
  2. Always loved these wheels. 15" are ideal for Mk2 Golfs, I would settle for 16"s on a Corrado.
  3. Very happy today as the Corrado has just flown through another MOT. That's at least 10 in a row  . I had a few advisories last time which were not picked up this time :) The guy who did it last year has a reputation for being the most thorough in the area.
  4. Could this be the end of another Corrado part avialability? I've just ordered a drivers side seat bolster and was told that it's the last one available.
  5. Insurers don't seem to like repeat custom for some strange reason. I have never used the same insurer for two consecutive years after 20+++ years of driving. I also don't like ads which say "you could save up to £xxxx". I "could" also win the lottery or get run over tomorrow! Just my opinion though :D

Not a chance I'm afraid. If only it was that cheap and simple.
  7. I'll let the pics speak for themselves... Before After No befores but the work was excellent
  8. If the wheels are straight with no major kerbing you could try using a powder coating company. I am in the process of having set of steels media blasted and coated for £100.
  9. Quite like this one. Just as VW intended :D
  10. I went for a Jetex in the end, slightly more expensive but it sounds as OE as possible without actually being OE. Got to say I'm very impressed and I'm fussy!
  11. I had a Jetex full system fitted 10 days ago. There was a slight delay with the front silencer. I can fully recommend the full system.
  12. Try using their online quotation. They quoted me £389 a few weeks ago plus 10% discount if I booked it in within a about a week. I then spoke to another Longlife Franchise and they quoted £359. I have now gone down the Jetex route (£388 fitted) - deposit paid :D
  13. Lacquer and polished alloy is not a good combination as there is little for the laquer to bond to. Even if the wheels are diamond cut and coated proffessionally they don't stand the test of time very well. Best sticking to a regular polish and wax if you want to keep a nice shiney finish.
  14. I remember it well. Still go the mug too :) I was parked literally just out of shot on the left hand side of the pic.
  15. I was quoted nearly £850 for a Polo GTI throttle body and nearly £350 for a Mk2 Golf ISV. What are they on?
  16. I have managed to negotiate free fitting on a Jetex system, by a very reputable company close to me  . Looks like I've changed my mind for the very last time............ Over 16 Years from the original system can't be bad.
  17. Sounds like you need an OE exhaust from VW. My pockets are only so deep, and I don't fancy dropping the rear beam :) .
  18. Please let me know how you get on and how much discount you negotiate :)
  19. Having just read right the way through the "definative Exhaust" thread. I am now leaning towards getting a Longlife exhaust - £359 fiited, which seems a good deal. Without opening up another hornets nest of debate I would appreciate some feedback from those who have had a Longlife exhaust fitted. I am after something which sounds and looks as OE as possible. Cheers.
  20. They do if you pour near boiling water on them as you remove them. This loosens up the adhesive and makes the mouldings pliable.
  21. L666COR black VR on the M27 last week and another earlier C on G60 steels driving thro Cowplain.
  22. I'm really gutted for you both. What more can I say. For your sake it's a good job Fay wasn't in the Jetta... the damage would have been much worse!
