  1. I already have a VDO sender which will save a few ££’s, May have a gamble and see if I can replace the pump itself - there are pumps listed for around £20.
  2. The part number is 1H0906091C. A quick search comes up with quite a few results except the part number ends in a different letter. Any ideas if the last letter makes a difference? Thanks.
  3. Thanks. I have pulled a spare VDO pump apart today. The pump sounds a bit sticky. I vale a Pierburg Pump fitted at the moment which is being temperamental. The Pierburg pumps look to be sealed units unlike the VDO ones. It would be good if I could just replace the pump in the VDO unit.
  4. Which Pump did you go for? The VDO one is over £290!
  5. Do you know if is it possible to buy the pump on its own?
  6. Welcome to the forum. It’s fairly quiet on here compared to a few years ago. Still a good place to be with some very knowledgeable people.
  7. I have never seen a light fitted from factory despite the fact that the fittings are there. Perhaps a bit of last minute cost saving?

Good work. How did you manage to get such a good finish?
  9. Looks like eight sets have been sold. Someone is in for a good Christmas.
  10. The map gave improved economy as well as extra power when I need it. Not that I am power obsessed, but it’s nice to have it when you need it. I have driven a few new french and German low powered so called eco cars as hire cars and they don’t return the economy you would necessarily expect. French cars are made of cheese
  11. Sean, I know I am biased but Mk1 Fabia VRS are very reliable, cheap to maintain , eat up the miles and can be mapped to around 180 bhp. I could average around 60 - 65 mpg on mt 17 mile commute.
  12. Thanks for the compliment. A new fuel filter was fitted a couple of weeks ago. Checking the fuel pressure will have to be the next step. Everything runs as it should once fuel is in the system. I have ordered a NRV to see if that helps.
  13. The symptoms sound similar cold start is really bad. Is there a way to check the fitted non-return valve is working? The Corrado flew though it’s MOT again. No advisories.
  14. It’s been a long time since I have updated the thread. The Corrado has gone in for its MOT today. I has decided that it likes a lot a cranking before it wants to start. I have recently fitted a replacement in tank fuel pump and relay. Any ideas on what to look for next? Thanks.
  15. Hi Dave, Thanks again for suppling these parts. I now need some parts for my 2012 T5.1 van. The battery cover which is usually only fitted to T5.1 California and Caravelle models and also a leather gear knob and 6 speed cover which fits on the top. Cheers! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Not sure which product is the best as I have only used the aerosol http://www.flyingshop.com/acf-50-aerosol-13oz/ So far I have used it on my bike and on the brake lines of my Golf and Corrado. For the past few years the Golf had an MOT advisory for lightly corroded brake lines. No advisory this year after using ACF 50. I purchased it from Ebay as it worked out cheaper than buying locally.
  17. ACF 50 is really good stuff. I use it on my motor bike to keep corrosion at bay. Check out the reviews on the web.
  18. Ron, I have visited their workshops and met with the owner. IIRC they do not stock a full range of colours as they are more of a general powder coating company and not wheel refurbishment specialists. They also use a third party to remove and re-fit the tyres. For this reason I opted for the Wheel Specialist in Fareham. I would probably use them if I had other vehicle parts to refurbish where the finish was not so critical.
  19. I have the same model and I was going to sell it within a month of buying. I decided to have it remapped and it's a completely different car, more torque, Power and better MPG. 25K later and all is good. No VAG recalls for me thanks.
  20. Thanks. Just ordered one. Good old Ebay. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Very nice and a rare sight on the roads nowerdays. Do you need steps to get in
