the chassis will twist a bit,but i very rarely jack it up on the jack points,i always use where the whishbone bolts into the chassis

i changed one on my old golf,and used a trolley jack,and it is an arse of a job,you either need little hands or a lot of patience

only just bought them,cost me £200,and supposedly demon tweeks best selling disc/pad combo,just tried deglazing the pad,and put some hi temp grease on the backs of the pads and they are still bloody grinding :mad:

the mk2 golf 16v's had a ball and socket type of rack which you had to change with the track rod end,he could be on about them,dont know if the early 16v corrados were the same though
