CazzaVR 0 Posted July 14, 2004 Nice one! :D What's Ultravisitor like? Is the Manitoba album any good? Got the first one.
kangaroo 0 Posted July 14, 2004 Up in Flames is excellent, its got a 60's psychadelic rock feel. Quite a lot different to his first album, but much better in my opinion. You gotta get it :) Ultravisitor isn't bad, less funky and a bit more experimental, like Music is rotted one note. In fact its one of those albums I'm not quite sure works in the car, you know the type? More suited to strokey-beardy-head-nodding appreciation in your living room
CazzaVR 0 Posted July 14, 2004 Yeh, know what you mean. Nice to see someone has similar taste to me! Everyone usually says 'who?' when I talk about music, and when they hear it they say it's crap rave stuff! For me, you can't beat the early 1990's Warp stuff: LFO, Nightmares on Wax, Black Dog, B12, Aphex, Autechre etc.
dinkus 10 Posted July 14, 2004 For me, you can't beat the early 1990's Warp stuff: LFO, Nightmares on Wax, Black Dog, B12, Aphex, Autechre etc. Don't want to be having any Nightmares on Wax on while doing motorway journeys....zzzzz Edit: tis damn good stuff though! kangaroo 0 Posted July 14, 2004 Yeah man, its good to find people on the same musical wavelength 8) Warp records is great, and they do wicked live events. I'm also a fan of Ninja-tunes.
randal 0 Posted July 14, 2004 I'm also a fan of Ninja-tunes. Must admit, a friend clued me up on this (and nightmares on wax) - very very good listening. Also clued me up on Mr Scruff, cracks me up - especially the last track "fish have underwater weapons" or something
