Lupo or Audi TT Wiper Conversion

Worth a try before I ring the dealers, Looking to get either early TT or Lupo Gti wiper arms if anyone has any?

I'm surprised there's not been a group buy?

 

People don't bat an eye buying bling / alloys etc, but a couple of hundred to see where you're going in the rain.... Not having a go, just adding some perspective, it really is a good mod, I wouldn't want to go back that's for sure.

 

Loads of TTs being broken on FB groups atm, maybe a wanted ad?

VW really are twats. How can they even justify those kinds of prices. I don't know why they use every chance to sting the enthusiast community rather than nurture and support it.

They make very little on new cars, so have to cream off everything else to keep those glass palaces open

I doubt floor staff are paid a huge amount, techs pay isn't up to much either

I got lupo arms (2 x driver side), blades nuts and caps all in for about £140-150 through TPS in branch. Was looking to buy 2nd hand originally but it's probably about the best money I've spent on the old girl.

Do standard lupo wiper arm fit or do they need to be GTI?

 

If standard front lupo arms are ok I might have a pair.

I don't think standard Lupo arms are the aero flat blades are they?

 

Are the E30 ones flat blades?

The E30 blades aren't flat, so give a bit more of an OE look. The benefit is in the spring tension on the arms, so they hold it to the screen better than the standard Corrado ones.

Thanks Sean. Thats what I thought. It was partly the improved performance, but also the aero style that sold the Lupo conversion for me. I think the TT ones are aero as well.

It needs to be 2x drivers sides on the lupo wipers, can't be sure about the TT ones, although I do have both set ups out in the garage somewhere. I will have a look tomorrow night and see if I can find relevant part numbers if anyone wants
