Saw 2 Corrado's in the BHS Multi storey car park in Salisbury yesterday afternoon. One was a dark blue Valver with an interesting spoiler on the rear screen, and the other was an M Reg Green VR just like mine. I drove past you as we were leaving the car park at the same time..

I wish i had your technical know how to take on a project as big as this.... all I can say is that it does show what you can do with determination, and hopefully i'll soon have some of that to start doing this kind of thing to my car!! Inspiring mate.

Chains normally get changed at the 100k service, although some last a lot longer. They will start rattling when they need to be changed and it is a very costly job- about a grand

Definitely a good idea to use the Shell Optimax or BP Ultimate mate. I think you'll find 80% of people on this forum use the higher octane fuel as it is so much better for the engine, not to mention better fuel consumption and performance..... Not sure on the bulbs though you can get an uprated headlight loom from Gavin on this forum H100VW is his username- drop him a PM HTH

The exact same thing happened to me a few weeks back..... would love to have got VW to do the job for me for free. Would have saved me 2 days work!!! -

Ouch mate..... That corrado has taken a mighty smack. Good to hear your ok and in good spirits about it all. I think I would be in tears if i did that to my car!

I had a MK2 8V GTI for 2 years, and like you got itchy feet. I knew I wanted to stay VW so the Corrado is the "only" real choice if your looking for something rare and fast. I went straight for the VR and will never look back. They are awesome cars!! 8)
