Willing to bet that your wiper problem is to do with the linkage, the lupo wipers won't help you if this is the case. You'll have to repair/replace the linkage to sort it properly. The two splined shafts that attach to the wiper linkage chassis are only held in by a crappy weld. After 14 odd years on the car, they detach and when the blade reaches the height of travel the spline moves the blade away from the window - giving the oh-so-familiar annoying "miss" across the field of vision. The fix: Take the wiper arms off, undo the bolts that hold the linkage into the scuttle, disconnect the motor. Jiggle, swear and remove linkage from scuttle. You'll see what's broken straight away. Drill through both and pop rivet (or nut/bolt if you can find one with a head thin enough) back into place - et voila. Of course, this is only if yer linkage is knackered. Otherwise, get some lupo aero blades :D

Judging from what gradeafailure has in his Passat, I don't think so. The door cards are different shaped for starters. You might have some success getting the front seats in, but I think the rear bench might be a bit too deep to shit right. I'm sure he'll be along soon enough to confirm either way :)

Congratulations mate, been a long road for you - but looks like you're getting to the end of it! Looking forward to seeing this :D Love the figurine you got on your dash too, that an optional extra? -
As stated in the post previous to this, I said I'd gladly withdrawn this comment if extenuating circumstances arose... ...well they arose. Consider it withdrawn.

Mine started going doo-lally a couple of months ago, doing the sort of thing yours is. I replaced one of the 3 20amp blade fuses near the battery (think mine was a BRM loom) and it started behaving itself. :) -
Will do tonight, really want to get this done so I can put the door card back on! Ta :)

Are the numbers in brackets relational to pin out on the plug, or are the early colours listed in any order? Thanks for the info though, much appreciated. :D

Thanks to Dave (gradeafailure) I have a wiring diagram with colours, however there are a few differences with what I've got in the car. (now there's a surprise, I swear I have the "Friday afternoon in the factory" rado) Anyway, if someone can shed any light on this that'd be neat. Otherwise I'm going to keep trying different combinations! btw I've got: white brown black blue red/blue black/yellow Tried the obvious swaps and no joy :(

Looks pretty sweet 8) Let us know what improvements you get over the stock, cos I think I'll be doing mine too. Albeit without air tools, might take a little while longer....

What you do with your piece and a common badger is up to you my friend! ;) However, I've run afoul of many a shady badger in my time. Watch your back is all I'm saying. Yeah, saw that - they are vicious wotsits! On a side note, check out the Euro-Badger. You'll notice it has a smoothed rear, hidden exhaust, sits very low to the ground and has an all round wide a$$ appearance.
-
Spade or not, Badgers are wiley critters. I'd be wearing kevlar, and carrying a piece. Can't trust a badger....

Judging by the once again over inflated price of crude, (praise America for securing the World's oil, praise America for keeping the oil flowing) it's pretty easy to see why we're paying through the buttocks for petrol: Crude price: Average 'gas' price (apologies, it's near impossible to find UK prices): Check out the comparision prices around the world though: AA Petrol Price Analysis June 2005 (.doc) I know we're subject to a strong pound, which does make things look favourable, but once you factor in average salaries in those countries - everyone is getting screwed. Ah Google Statistics

LOL, I've had the same thing happen to me. The poor thing got stuck in a Saturday Night Fever pose in my grille. In that same week I also hit a fox at 60, which cartwheeled over the car and cost me a number plate. Bloody suicidal nature!

Bloody Texans were the same. $2.30 a gallon and they were moaning. That's about 40p a litre. Dunno they've been born
