  1. I heard that too. Been using Auto-Glym car shampoo for a while, then someone told me that it's just as bad. I give up
  2. That's gotta be a euphamism for angel eyes then... pluck Mr Wales :D
  3. What's a marmite headlight when it's at home?
  4. What was the deal for a rear wiper again? Was it 1X passenger setup, then drill out the pin on the carrier hub and reattach? ta edit - actually thinking about it, wouldn't a LHD wiper work better, cos RHD would be upside down?
  5. Immobiliser kicking in? Sorry to hear you're having grief. :(
  6. Anyone ever come up with the goods on this? I've scoured the web, and haven't spotted anything... :(
  7. I've done all me dash switches, and of course the clocks (still got the scars!). Just need the leccy windows and the sunroof switch and i'm away 8-) The heater panel is all prepped, and printed on paper - just need to get over to Phil's with some ink for his wonder printer to get a decent finish on acrylic....
  8. Good point, I still owe you mucho beers for mine! :D
  9. Amen, love those wheels - very nice :D Only thing I've done recently is strip the interior off the driver's door, removed the side mouldings on the offside ready for spraying and kept telling myself I'm going to have a rado that's all one colour soon... ...and have the spot on the bumper touched up, the door sills sprayed, slight crease on the passenger door smoothed out... :D
  10. Got a Passat W8 interior light, which not only provides decent illumination at night has a reading light for either side and a neat red ambient glow that comes on when the headlights are on. Goes will with the red dash (when I get it finished). Would post a pic, but I'm in Houston and my car is 5000 miles away...
  11. I don't think those wheels would work on any other car. I mean the teardrops look cool OE on the Golf, but I think they would struggle looking like that on any other Dub. Unless someone wants to prove me wrong with a pic of them on a rado?
  12. That polo rocks, white walls - very unique. Oh, very nice VR too :D
  13. OK, good to know. Will be interesting to see what the difference is from standard after a good tune and a RR session... ...keep us posted 8-)
  14. Any problems getting the head back on? Did you rough the ports up again, or leave as before? ta
  15. Green err.. Corrado coming down the Portsmouth Road by The One Oak in Frimley about 8pm today? Flashed (oo-er) and got a wave back, any takers?
  16. What a random selection of pics, and there was me expecting to see your car! Uh-oh, this is how random threads start! Hmm, that gives me an off-topic idea... :D
  17. Granted, but it's not too bad. 3 screws, and the wiring harness. About 2 minutes each side - and a darn sight easier than doing in situ. Have managed to change 1 bulb with them on the car with so much hassle!
  18. 4. Kicking the speaker covers exiting the car. (passengers more over!) Passenger headlight bulb is a doddle, like the drivers - take the whole lamp out 8)
  19. Little be too garish for my liking, looks like a demented 3 year old has attacked it with some Stabilo highlighters. Bet he has fun scraping flies out of the i/c too. Fairly innovative though...
  20. Flyers? Bloody hell, what next? Back of a milk carton? "Wanted, we've seen you doing 80 on the motorway (p.s we weren't boot riding you, honest m'lud). This is getting ridiculous, I mean I appreciate WHY there are measures in place for getting people to slow down - but c'mon play fair. If this was one police officer, then maybe I could understand - but I'm sure they don't assign one pursuit vehicle to one copper and send him on his merry way. So, I'm willing to bet this is an initiative or a quiet scheme among officers. Essentially, this is entrapment. It's no worse than leaving a wallet on the side of the street and then nicking the first poor soul that picks it up for theft. I like one member's post about slamming on the anchors if they boot ride. But I'm willing to bet the insurance company mantra of "you shouldn't have been driving so close to the car in front, you're liable" won't wash here like the other member follows up with. Oh well, one more car to watch out for now. Undercover Saab 2.0T's were one thing, Volvo T4's you could spot a mile off, and even the Vauxhall's, Octavia's and Renault's with the hidden flashy blues on the front - but we've got to be suspicious of anything over 150 bhp? One more reason for emigrating this godforsaken country.
  21. Was just sent this by a mate at work. Link to Fiat Coupe Forum Post Was rather disgusted at the prospect, although unsurprised at the same time. I know we've got a fair few forum members around the M23 corridor too, anyone seen this bent pursuit vehicle kicking around?
