Apparently my brake compensator isnt working. Are they easy to fix? Or is it just a case of replacing them? If so, are they hard to replace?

thnx for replys guys. I understand what you are saying that the rating is different, I dont doubt you at all!! 8) So i shouldnt get an uprated kit for a Golf, but for a C. Wot i dont understand is why VW have the same part number for the Shock absorber on both Golf and C, if they are in fact different :? Is it simply the case that they now supply the uprated version for Golfs as well?

Im a bit confused here then. :? WIll an uprated suspension kit for a mk2 be ok for G60 rado or not?

Sometimes when I go around a left-hand bend, my C "skips" out suddenly for a split second. It used to happen a lot around both right and left bends, when one of my shox was leaking, but since replaced, it only happens round left ones now. Its not all the time, only sometimes, and it seems to be when there is a up-down motion in the corner. It is very disconcerting as there will be now warning, just a sudden jolt to the right at the rear. Is this due to a rear shok on its way out? Or is it something more serious? O and while im here, Ive just been speaking to a guy about some suspension kits (1 made by Interalloy, 1 by supersport). They are for a MK2, but he said that it wont fit my C as its got Passat rear suspension, but i was under the impression that rear MK2 shox would be fine?

seeing as the other thread was locked, in reply to VR6 (on the other topic), I did do a search, but found nothing relavent. Seeing as nothing was replyed to this topic in 3 months, i figured i'd start a new one as it is also a slightly different subject. Its also not really anything to do with changing the bulbs, so didnt think it was relavent to that other topic either. gees, chill out guys! :joker2: In reply to henny, (on the other topic) I have taken the bulbs out and tried it, but it still blows the fuse, so im gonna have to get the old meter out and do some old fashioned fault checking i guess.....fun fun fun..... :roll:

A while back i posted that my rear fogs had stopped working, as everytime i put the fronts on, it blew the fuse. Well ive had the fronts apart now, but cant see any reason as to why this would be happening. Someone suggested the fronts shorting out on the casing or summit, but i tries it without the casing on at all, and it still blows the fuse. Anyone got any other ideas?

no the indicator wasnt the problem, i just wasnt pulling the fogs hard enuf, worried about breaking em. Got em off now tho. Hasnt sorted my problem tho :roll:

ahha the manual!! didnt think of that! LOL :lol: hmm, it just says to remove indicator, and then undo screws and pull fog light out the front.....but i tried that...hmm......i'll have another look, but if anyone else knows of anything thing else let me know please ;) thnx

I need to change my rear calipers as the handbrake dont work (been checked, and its ceased). My scrappy has a Golf MK3 VR6 with both rear calipers on, so was wondering whether they will fine or not? I mean, will i need to change anything else? Will things like handbrake cable need to be changed, as I've just brought some new cables for the C.

you know, altho its a desicration of a corrado, it actually looks really good!! Almost like it should be a leon Coupe or summit! Very good job on it IMO, altho im not a fan of big changes to the C.

update: Turns out my ins. comp. dont rekon its my fault as he was parked on a hill the saga continues.....
