  1. So the paper cones fitted by Volkswagen in 1995 have now been surpassed by my Justin Bieber collection, What do you recommend? I Prefer not to cut the parcel shelf or fit boot room hogging subs. Focal, Dynadio, Technics? What's the best bang for buck?
  2. Although now I just looked at this thread I see I should just pull the Chinky one apart and change the LED or mask it somehow. It's quite handy it illuminates when left on with ignition off. Always reminds me to turn the lights off. (no buzzer).
  3. That would be me. And by the time we add postage to Deutschland it will be more like £40 :) I already have one of Matt's Chinese ones. The switch is great and doesn't heat up like the old one. But the cyan illumination doesn't match the green of the rest of the dash. So I'm going to pull them apart and make some kind of Chimera switch with the best of both.
  4. Yes please. I'll 'pm you my e-mail addy. What happened? I think if I still lived in the UK I wouldn't have bothered with a charger. Too easy to fall foul of John Law with a car that just shouts "MORE!" when you give it some :)
  5. Aha! Work proxy server blocks the link. But I'll have a butchers at home. Hopefully that will do the trick. Thanks! BTW I'm stealing your signature script :)
  6. I work in those circles. Though not a member of HM Forces these days. Former Matelot. ;) Digital photos would be great Sean. Please 'pm them to me.
  7. Scheisse! I've been rumbled :) Ideally I need the actual script itself in the right type face and in this EPS Vector format. That's what the cover manufacturer has asked for. I guess that's what their embroidery machine recognises. However, just closeup photos would do as a start. Maybe they have some clever person who can recreate the script. I realise that these could be used to reproduce the badges and that Trimsport are already doing this. Hence I want to make it clear this in NOT my intention and I will not be passing these files onto anyone else. Trimsport do an excellent job and I have bought from them many times over the years and I am not going to help anyone undermine them. I just want my £260 indoor cover to be completely bespoke for my baby.
  8. Nightbreakers and a loom on mine. Great job and nice'n'white :)
  9. I'd be interested in a tinted or top-tinted screen. Is the price firm at £300 then? I wonder if I can swing that through my insurance somehow? Maybe I find a local approved windscreen fitter and get him to take care of the purchase? My screen's defo on the way out. I've been putting off replacing it as it's the original and every screen I've had replaced on previous Rados has revealed all sorts of nasty rot around the top of the screen. Plus I can't remember the part no's for all the other extras I had to order. Seals, plastic covers and clips.
  10. Hi Folks. I bought a custom indoor car cover at the NEC show and I want to have "Supercharged Corrado Storm" embroidered on it. To do this I need digital copies of the logos. I've hunted around the forum and can't find a .gif or .jpg. Actually I need the data in EPS Vector format. But I can take care of the conversion from gif/jpg myself. I understand this may be a little sensitive and I will destroy the data once I've sent it on to the suppliers or I can supply their contact details directly so I never have hands on the files. I am security cleared. So you can trust me :)
  11. What a fantastic weekend. The show was amazing. On a par with Techno Classica here in Germany. Of course this show is very British Car centric which makes it even more interesting for me. I'm fed up looking at Bimmers & Mercs :) The Club stand was very well setup and in an excellent location. I was in a buying frenzy the whole weekend, not to mention enjoying a weekend away from the Family and visiting Brum for the first time ;) So only finally had to time to chat to Jim and Supercharged as they were pulling it all down. Making them miss the final "Horn Push" at the end (sorry). I think next year I'll do my best to bring my car over. Although I'm a little worried it won't be on a par condition-wise with the others. They set a high standard. It is quite a lot of time to take off work so close to the end of the year but if you're a true car enthusiast and don't mind chatting with lots of like-minded people, this is the show for you. Hats off to the boys. Roll on next year's show season. :)
  12. I'll take it. Pm me your details.
  13. See! A taker already. If you'd just put those pictures up sooner.... :)
  14. And you can maybe get a set of cams and a remap with the money :) How much for the return trip do you reckon and do you have pics of the wheels and tyre tread?
  15. Xmas market in Birmingham too. So I'll get my schwein und Gluhwein fix ;)
  16. Scheisse! I bought tickets last week. Didn't even occur to me to check if CCGB had a stand :( Stupid me. I would have driven over from Koln and joined the stand (if you'd have me). I'll pop round and have a chat. I guess I missed out on the CCGB offer? Member #1817
  17. A few more recent ones since the big work was completed. Now running Wossner Pistons & Conrods, Bigger Injectors, Schimmel 263 Cams and a Vortech Charger. :)
  18. I was just going to say the same. And I have a bag of melted malteasers to prove it :) My driver's seat also has a fault. The backrest heats but the seat doesn't. I found a guide on here, maybe in the Wiki, to repair the element in the heated seat pad. It's on my todo list.
  19. What a helpful community we have here :)
  20. If you remove the spaces from the first part no. and google it. This comes up as the first hit. http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_act_vwclassicParts.search_classicSearchText_535857948_lang_EN_country_GB.htm Obviously Google is better than their own search :) Same goes for the second part. http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_act_vwclassicParts.search_classicSearchText_3A086730101C_lang_EN_country_GB.htm
  21. I'm up for a green setup too. Thanks for your efforts! :)
  22. Dunno if they have a sensor. It's probably just a potentiometer on the switch controlling the current to the heater element in the seat.
