Great to meet you today Tim, and thanks again. I'll try and get them fitted tomorrow, if She Who Must Be Obeyed will give me the time!
-
Sounds good to me! As well as being very good of you! I'll pm you when I can say what time I can make it if that's OK? I need a half day pass from the wife ;) But this Saturday could be a go-er.
-
Thanks for replying Jim. I'll take them if they're still available, should be able to collect at a weekend too.
-
If Jim doesn't want them I'll be next in line please :)

Hi, what paint code is the boot lid, and what condition is it in? -
I'm more experienced with real cages, but if you have a Google for blue book, roll cage mounting, it'll give you the correct way to mount one.

I treated the wife to a trackday at Donington for her birthday in October. She's not driven on track before and didn't want to use her car (new Scirocco), so I planned on taking my (lightly) track prepared Mk2 Scirocco. Unfortunately the clutch decided it couldn't handle enough torque any more so we took the Corrado instead. Probably a good thing given the weather conditions! I showed her the way round. (See the heat haze? ) And she put some great laps in, not always in particularly nice conditions :? Car performed really well, I was impressed overall. Only a little problem surfaced with regards to oil cooling. Or lack thereof.

Oh, and I've found that the VR6 block & crank isn't a particularly easy one man lift out of the boot...

Cheers Tom!

Awesome, thanks.

I'll take it if Chaff doesn't want it, I'm literally a few minutes away from you!
-
Awesome! Looks really tidy in the photos viewed on my phone :)
-
I'm not far away either! Close to Stanton by Dale :)

I think it's easiest to upload the photo to somewhere like photobucket (I use my Google+ account though). Copy the photo url and then click the insert photo button above the text box, select remote host and paste the url in.

Yep, only changed the fluid a couple of months ago.

Well, I managed to get a 2nd hand ABS ecu module. It has cleared a load of faults, so now I'm just left with the N101, ABS inlet valve front left.

D'Oh! Stupidly, I thought it was only warranted for the purchaser. Last week I removed the centre silencer because it had split. I replaced with a straight through section. It does improve the sound a little and burbles on the over run at low rpms...

Cool :) I'm taking my CBT next week! (Actually my wife and I are taking it together, strangely managed to book it for our wedding anniversary!). Aiming to follow through and get full licence as soon as possible afterwards. Planning on getting an older CBR600f :)

I'll aim to have a proper look at this issue when I get chance, but thought I'd ask here in case anyone has heard of similar. Firstly, a previous owner has bodged the ABS light so that it appears to work (fitted a timer, so the light comes on and then goes off again). My scanner informs me of fault codes for; rear n/s sensor ABS inlet valve front left -N101 Valve 2 for differential lock Supply voltage Now these faults on their own were leading me towards fitting a new ABS pump assy (apart from supply voltage). But last week as I was crawling down a gravelled driveway the ABS sparked up. Thing is, I wasn't pressing the brake pedal - my foot was covering the throttle. A trial press of the brake pedal confirmed that it was working well... So, wiring fault somewhere I presume? Is this a new type of fault?!

They do sound amazing with a full Supersprint exhaust. And I believe that it saves loads of weight too :)

Well, we used our first mk3 Scirocco... (I like to think of it as a mk4 Scirocco though, as the Corrado should have been the mk3!) Dodgy mobile phone pic...

I'm after the outer drivers door rubber seal. Is that one any good & how much would you want?
