  2. Mmmmmmmm I've timed my car with a G Tech pro and got 0-60mph in 6.08 secs.... thats running 12psi@220bhp... How on earth can you get 6.5 secs with just 138bhp?
  3. Should have bought the sport trim mate.... my mate just bought one and its superb. Apparently the SE is under damped so would change the dampers first. Some KONI ones should do.

    Aye...100s of Citrix Terminal servers....oh the joys.... Still, I get to run 2000, XP and 2003 Server from the same box I suppose. 2003 Server Standard sucks....it's dog slow. I wonder if any of the other 6 flavours of 2003 are any better? 2003 sucks.. BIG TIME. Doing a migration from NOVELL / 2k to 2003 server and its a major pain in the butt...

  13. But your sticking to the basics - you are ignoring the fact that manufacturers design the chip for the engine on a mass produced basis. They also as mentioned have to factor mpg / emissions / etc to keep the general public happy and in some cases run a slighty detuned chip to ensure 100% reliability (eg diesels)... I have also known some manufactuers deliberately detune some engines to prevent them from showing up their flag ship models... In most cases if not all - a chip designed for a specific engine by an aftermarket manufactuer with no other mods WILL gain 'some' power as although you are right in that the flow characteristics will not change but the ability of the aftermarket chip tuners is to maximise all values to develop more power.... even given the general scenerio that you wont gain much power from doing this without mods.
  14. You dont want to be poking wire down the oil galleries mate - its an alum head!!! :shock: I used to be a vauxhall nut myself so know a few things about them... If the transfer box is leaking then I'd suggest getting rid of it - looking at a couple of grand to have that sorted....
  15. Why take it back to a garage that wont have a clue? Find a new garage dude.... On the valver the Fuel Reg. plays up and causes what you describe... engine wont rev up well either... But its a basic engine once you get past the KE Jetronic system... shouldnt be hard to solve.
