Yup all the Corrado needs is some nice components down front and a decent sub in the rear.... forget the 6*9's... Jim - it sounds like the amp has expired on the basslink mate.
-
Oh and that rear shelf is over £200 to replace so I wouldnt advise cutting holes in it

Dash Speakers are in fact tweeters... Wiring goes from head unit to tweeter then doubles down to the door for the 5 1/4 speaker. Hence only uses one output from stereo for two speakers. To be honest you want a decent component set for the front, that includes 5 1/4 mid range, tweeter and a cross over - this will give you a much better sound. Dump the 6 * 9's and get yourself a small 10 inch sub for the rear - combined with the component set down front it will sound incredible. I did this myself with my VR6 and was amazed with the sound - you will be dissapointed just replacing the door speakers. Scott

lol :D I have just had a quote of £289 fitted for a TOAD Ai606 via place just down the road from work so thats good enough for me....
-
Yeah just been reading reviews on the TOAD Ai606 and it sounds awesome.... can get it for £250 fitted but need to find someone who install it near Manchester!
-
I had a SIGMA on my VR6 and although basic had no problems. Also had Clifford on my old 16V.... What sort of money am I looking at then for a decent remote closure system and perhaps even link up the revolving mirrors??? - so they fold in when locked?
-
Hi Guys, I am after a decent alarm and immobiliser.... can anyone recommend something and perhaps where to get it fitted in North West? Cheers
-
I bought them with the front engine mount for VR6 (also brand new) for about £90 .... the grill spoiler was £12 from GSF... exact copy of the Kamei one and fits great!! £50 the lot?
-
Well don't leave me in anticipation!! How much do you want for them? Already managed to buy the rear axle bushes from someone else saving me a few pound so I may aswell continue 8) Timo. P.S. I thought it was worth replacing the rear top mounts too as these will be shot?? Is this not the case. Surely its worth doing it while I have the suspension apart. Make me a sensible offer mate and they are yours.... also have a brand new un fitted grill spoiler too...
-
I dont know if its any good to you but I have two brand new top mount kits sat in my garage....
-
Firstly before you do ANYTHING get a leak down test done.... and get the figures off them too....
-
Thats too high IMAHO... You should really see anything above 116degC at speed in a VR6... if you do then something is up. The oil cooler isnt really sufficient anyway on the VR... Suggest flushing the cooling system and making sure the thermostat / pumps are all as should be... if its still hot then would look at upgrading the oil cooler - will do the trick nicely. A decent oil temp to aim for when loaded is 100 - 105degC Oil / 90 degC Water. Scott.

EVERYONE keeps saying that to me... I think I will leave it in the garage until he collects it
-
I wouldnt have had it any other way - the guy didnt even haggle at all - I wanted a flat £4500 for it but he just said £4600 :D He has put down deposit and will be down in next week or so to collect it so I have a few days with my VR6 left.... time to put a few hundred miles on it  :-P
-
Cheers mate. If you paid £4600 for a mint M reg you got a good deal :D
-
Yeah knew it would sell and to the first serious buyer as well... :D Aye - he has said he will be paying via cash.. so not a prob - deposit held though. Am gutted though - never thought would sell and will now have £6k to play with for a new car.... that I at present cannot find... :x
-
  A chap from Nottingham came to view this evening and loved it. I have sold her to him for £4600 on the condition that if he decides to sell then I would like first refusal on having her back  He is coming to pick her up a week on Saturday so I have 2 weeks left....... :(

GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  :-P
-
LOL  Well I have a guy coming to look at mine tonight who seems keen enough and I have managed to give him a general picture of the condition of my baby so he is preparred to at least view before mentioning whether its worth what I am asking or not unlike SOME people that have called! I suspect it WILL sell as I am pretty sure the first person to view with the money will buy. Cheers Scott.

LOL LOL 8) I assume your G60 isnt standard then....
-
Hey guys... A couple of months ago somebody posted up a link where you can do some very basic car checks based on reg number... I think I have my new car but I want to do this check before I go ahead and spend £40 on HPi... Anyone got it? Cheers Scott

I'm going to change the ad me thinks .... get rid of the time wasters
-
It states its a 1993 in the advert..... in the advert picture the registration plate clearly says its a K plate! I left the mileage off deliberately so that people would view it rather than condeming it on mileage.... What a mistake that is.... :x
