  1. Still haven't been able to locate a gear lever selector trim for a '94 VR6 auto ( the bit with PRND321 on ). Strangely they're easy to find for the early model but not the late one? I'm open to reasonable offers.
  2. In fairness Gti Jamo is spot on, thats exactly what it looks like happenned. Main question that leaves me is does the original bonding look a bit like "no more nails"? Secondly, regulator is fine, as is the glass, what would be good to re-bond the window into place?
  3. Mrs has been driving the Corrado today and I'm in work, she just phoned to tell me she was putting the passenger window down and the glass has fallen into the door and won't come back up (but hasn't smashed :-)). Any bets as to what's happened and what parts I'm going to be looking for by the weekend?
  4. Ive taken the gaiter from a mk3 golf auto to replace mine but my plastic lettering bit (PRND321) has been replaced with a really cruddy sticker at some point in the past. Does anyone know where I can get a new one or the whole unit? The only ones I can find are for the early model mines a '94 VR6 auto.
  5. I have a fully working frame from a Mk3 Gti here spare but the glass is a slightly different shap so you'd need a glass panel that fits to finish it off!
  6. Well there was good news and bad news this week, she went in for an MOT and failed on the emissions, that's the bad news. Good news is one lambda sensor and one crankshaft sensor later and she flew through the emissions, runs like a dream and is now MUCH more economical on fuel. So it seems that they were the reason for my original fuel economy issues and the reason for this thread. There wasnt so much as an advisory on anything apart from the emissions, not bad for a 20 year old dub!
  7. In a word, NO! The glass panel roof has a different mechanism because there is a slide in, plastic panel which acts as a rear rain channel and the blind can be pulled back to expose the glass roof.
  8. I have a corrado frame in pieces, a mk3 golf glass unit which needs passat glass to make a moonroof, two internal and one external seal, unfortunately two broken motors :-( All the results of my amateur botchings at mine. Mine does now work though!
  9. Welcome to the forum, if you need sunroof parts give me a shout.
  10. Hi guys, I'm on the search for a passenger side, clip on, door handle cover in black leather. It's the stitched bit you pull to close the door when you're sat in the car ( to save any confusion ). Drop me a pm or post here if you have one for sale.

  12. I'll give it a try, hope it is something like that becaude it would be relatively easy to get sorted.
  13. It was a full inspection and he's believed to be a pretty competent mechanic!
  14. We had the brakes checked by a mechanic when we bought her, he said they looked pretty new and in good condition.
  15. I know what We bought here, we have two other cars, both of which are ultra efficient, that's not the issue. What we really want is to know that there are no faults and that the car performs exactly as she should. Looking at the fuel efficiency alone may not be the best diagnostic tool generally but it is surely a good indicator that something is not right. I need to find what the issue is and get it put right to know that our restoration is going in the right direction. This forum is an amazing source of Corrado based knowledge and people like me could never restore a car without it's help. Thank you all again!
  16. Lol, downhill with the wind behind it too!
  17. That's a really nice offer thanks! Whereabouts are you?
  18. Thanks for the help guys, gotta find Vagcom near Swansea then it seems!
  19. Getting about 23mpg on a run. How will I find someone with vagcom in Swansea?
  20. Trip computer around town, sorry!
  21. Is there any common issue (other than heavy footedness!) That would cause high fuel consumption (15mpg) in a VR6 auto or is this normal? Would a remap help?
  22. The Corrado is now nearly finished, she's looking so good that I thought I'd share a few pictures. So far we've done a new coilpack, new ( oem bbs ) wheels (now with oem centre caps too, god they were hard to source), three new sunroofs ( this one works ATM), some light restoration and paint to get rid of the metalworm, repaired heater controls, new centre box, side repeaters, front grille, various trim parts and a good interior clean. Phew!!!! What do you think?
  23. Anyone near Swansea with vagcom? I think ours may be using too much fuel, wondering if there's any faults that need sorting before she gets remapped.
