it's strange it has to get to such a high temperature before the cooling steps in? Maybe the fan isn't working properley? Maybe the thermostat isn't opening quick enough? Maybe the sensors/gauges are buggered I don't know Ben - you want to buy me a proper car?

Morning! Well my attempt at buying a runabout has had £350 spent on it in a month! Problem - overheated.... Had it serviced - £150 (few small problems also) Bought some bits and bobs - £50 Problem - overheated...... Just had a coolant flush, thermostat checked and cleaned and some new plugs put into the inlet manifold (three I think) for the water pipes - £150 Problem - Now when I'm driving the water temperature goes up to 110 degrees then comes down to 75ish, stay's at 90 for a while and then goes back up to 110 and then down to 75ish? What the hell is that about? Any help would be greatly appreciated Neil

37K miles!!!! I bet that would be worth a fair amount to the right person/collector. I'd say an easy sale of 6-8k and possibly over 10k to the right person. I know my step dad used to have a 2.7 lux and sold his on 50k for about 10 grand a couple of years back. 944 S and S2's go for nearly as much as 968's second hand. Only problem is the car is white, which unfortunately seems to make for lower 2nd hand values -
you have a microwave in your car?

I did this just before I sold the C You can just undo the clips at the back/towards the boot and carefully undo the bolt, unplug the aerial and pull the whole amplifier and aerial out the top. I read a how to guide that said you need two people (which I didn't have at the time) one to hold it steady and the other to screw hehehe. I just used a bag of sand over the roof to hold the aerial in place and bolted it up - took about 5 minutes! They do charge a bloody lot for them though!

How do we know he isn't an Ashton Kutcher (spelling?) and going out with an older lady who has cheap insurance on Sheila's Wheels? God I love that advert!

You could get a nice Mk3 Golf colour concept GTI for that! A mk3 Golf GTI with nice leather interior or funky cloth interior. She could probably get a Golf VR6 Highline also... then you can use it also!

Apparently they are really nice cars! If you took the PooGoat badge off, who would know it wasn't very expensive!

24V Renshaw - 24V V6 - Just read the whole thread!!!!

Dam I love this car! Those Vette wheels are really growing on me also! Just noticed, I can't see the exhaust, I take it, it's behind the bumper pointing down or something, you not tempted by some petruding exhaust action? -
Get an E36 3.0L M3, not the Evolution. The 3.0L one will be 1995 and older, the engines are much nicer and stronger in terms of reliability, cost and tunability - if for some reason you want to turbo/supercharge it later as most of the chargers are built around this engine. Same thing with the 2.8 and 2.9 VR6, the majority of tuning kits are made for the 2.8. The Evo is suppose to have better brakes and a 6 speed box, but I'd still take the 3.0L.

I used Dents Plus, who drove over and pushed out various dents along the door lines and even one in the bonnet (that I couldn't see) for about £120. I thought this was really good as they spend about 2-3 hours doing it and the car looked spottless afterwards. I would highly recommend them. They used what looked life very long screwdrivers with rubber bungs on the end of them and took there time going around the dents and slowly in so not to crack the paint.

Yes the Alfa GTV 3.0 V6 sounds amazing and it looks lovely too! I have never driven one so have no idea what they are like. Just from the looks, sound and badge, I'd rather have one of them than a fiat any day
