  1. how much roughly would you be looking for?
  2. My car is no longer my car :-( I have just spent all morning cleaning her and watched her drive away :-( I miss that car so much already I will have another one one day!
  3. We should make a Biggerbig's members gallery on VW's Hugo - Mk2 1.3, Mk2 Driver, MK2 GTI, MK1 GTI, Scirroco GTII Me - MK3 1.8GL, Corrado VR6, MK3 1.8 Driver You - MK3 1.9tdi, MK1 GTI, Corrado, MK4 TDI Thats not a bad list of VW's for three people in 4 years!
  4. I'm glad I seem to have got myself a good deal! Well I'm sure the bilstein's are good so if the ride sucks I can change the springs, as long as people have heard of Ventura and they do exist than thats all good for the moment. Z4 = girls car - for £120 off my pay check per month including tax and servicing, I'm not complaining! Have you seen the new Z4 Coupe?! I think it looks like what a new Corrado should look like from the back and sides! They might be throwing a V8 in it also! But yes in my Z4 I will look like I'm CAY, I will get it in Black with some nice alloys though. I have no idea how to do the sunroof as VW only want to sell the complete unit, GSF or someone must sell the sliders on there own? Ben - Apparently the drive shaft gators were okay and passed the MOT, the engine/gear box mount does need replacing though, which I'll need to do - any tips?
  5. Will post a couple pics when I pick it up MK3 Golf 1.8 Driver with 90k on the clock, full GTI interior, 5 door, dark grey/purple? quite nice standard wheels, 10 months Tax and 12 Months MOT (now) for £850! How good is that! The Girl Friend is taking it off me in March when I get my Z4 (maybe I can get a CAY plate for that lol) so I want to get the car in good order for her. It has bilstein's all round with Ventura springs - is this good? I've never heard of Ventura. It needs a new rear Gearbox/engine mount - could I do this and what do I need? One of the sunroof slides has jammed - can I just replace one of the slides by taking the ceiling panel off and dropping the relevant parts? Thanks Neil
  6. I see more Corrado VR6's around in Guildford than I see E36 328 Sports and E36 M3's combined.... There does however seem to be an unusualy large amount of Corrado's in Guildford? I don't really see any anywhere else I drive. Given the choice of a 328 Sport and a Corrado VR6 (both mint) - I'd have the VR6 every time! Over the choice of an E36 M3 (3.0l) and a Corrado VR6, I would still be hard pushed to choose and when these cars were new the M3 was double the price! I'm going to need to get myself a VR6 again.... They are so god dam good looking! I won't realistically have another one for two years :( maybe a Storm if I can find one!
  7. If you can get insurance on an M3 I would get the E30 M3 or E36 M3 - 3.0l not the 3.2 Evo as they are over strained engines. Performance BMW magazine has a good article on a 94 M3 (3.0l) which they picked up for under 5k with 90k miles on the clock and they going to race prepare it for track use. If you can get a service reset tool and service the car yourself they are pretty cheap to run - excluding petrol...
  8. The problem with the E36 328 engines (as I'll sure Hugo will confirm) is that they had Nikasil lined engines which regular unleaded or even super seems to eat away. Some engines (usually the ones will full BMWSH) have had steel liners put in so they are okay. Any 328 engine up to 1999 has this problem. If you are considering a 328 from 95-98 I would make sure you have evidence of the steel liners or engine replacement as quite a few have done. The pre 99 328's without this problem solved have been known to do as little as 20,000 miles before needing a new engine. I personaly think the 328 Sport in Black with sand leather looks very nice indeed! actually better looking than the E36 M3 and I think has dated better
  9. Nice car, looks like a tidy little number. Might be worth having the chains looked at but then the Forum owners car is on 200K + with the originals
  10. BMW 2002 turbo last week at work - I think it's the Warehouse or Parts Managers car White with the stripes! The racing ones had 400+ bhp over 20 years ago! I saw an M6 yesterday also which I'm sure will get more common
  11. Cheers Guys! Kev - The ride on the Speedlines is perfect and the new Avon tyres are very good also compared to the dunlop sports I have on the solitudes. The FK's are actually pretty spot on after recently driving the car with the original suspension back on. I really didn't enjoy the ride on the RS's Zippy - I got the wheels refurbed with Wicked Wheels in Guildford - they did a very good job, they were going to go to spit and polish until I read a review by Dave (GradeAFailure)
  12. Really???? If you aren't taking the piss I take it you mean 1999? or did the prize go to the pink Roller?
  13. The part is about £8 for the plastic one - definitely a good buy Don't pull them out by the leads unless you are going to change them all anyway As Kev says change your HT leads (red Beru ones only) and plugs. If you still have the problem it could be the coil pack. Most likely to be an HT lead
  14. I don't suppose anyone took any pics of my car at ED38? and yes unfortunately she is for sale please see page 1 Neil
  15. Thanks very much guys! Just received my contract through the post and I will be getting a company car after 6 months provided I pass some sort of advanced driving test including a skip pad and high speed driving for a day which sounds quite fun. BMW finance offer second hand cars also but I can't drive an M car until over 25 so will hopefully get a 330 Club Sport. As a result of this my car will definitely be for sale this time as I won't have to pay any servicing or repair costs on the BMW and they will be heavily discounted and they will refund any depreciation when I come to sell so it just makes sense to sell the Corrado - I'm still having to persuade myself though....
  16. Dam it Bally I especially bought L666 COR, I still have L405 CAY though if you want to change back? I can't sell the C, it was so much fun blasting it back from bracknell yesterday with all the windows down and Maria Carrey on full blast - okay the car is GAY. I shall be in the Old Orleans in Guildford in 30 mins until I fall over!
  17. Thanks very much guys! I really couldn't be more happy at this point of time! Kev - I would love an E46 M3 but can't afford one even at £20k at the mo, I could go half way if someone wants to use it on Monday-Thursday? Mr Farrel - Maaaaar Meatlooooooaaaaf! lol I use to have a 318is and always used my indicators, well some times, okay not at all.....
  18. Some of you may no I have been looking to get out of recruitment and into the automotive industry or get a job in Marketing anywhere..... Well in a week I start as the Aftersales Marketing Executive for BMW in their Head Office in Bracknell! I really can't wait to go to work! They have an M6 in the reception! Does this also mean I must turn to the dark side and get an E36 M3 GT or an E30 M3 hmmmmm........
