  1. Quite a few Beamer lovers here! I'd have anything by Brabus or any of the M Cars sent to Dinan for a once over! A 968 RS Turbo would be nice also, only 8 made and I think one was sold a few years back for over £200k! If my Gran was worth millions then a Ferrari GTO would be nice. I think it's the worlds most valuable production car as a Japenese business man bought one for $9m a few years back
  2. Edd - Did Vince say what was causing the noise? The whole clutch, just release bearing etc? How much did the job cost you?
  3. Cool pics guys, Ben the car looked awesome! I still haven't had a go! Why do I have to sort the piss up out? I think Hugo should do it! No we should do something soon
  4. Sorry to hear about the crash Jay, hope your insurance doesn't go up too much
  5. 1) it is quite easy yes 2) from the dealer, paint shop/body shop or even Halfords are good these days 3) £20 ish? 4) it's nice being able to do things yourself, practice on some unwanted trim or anything, if you really suck get it done professionally. 5) I would just leave it standard, the door handles will most likely chip and scratch easily (girlies with rings or Hugo....). I had my front grill and number plate suround painted and the grill picked up alot of stone chips and the back always looked like it was painted plastic so I bought new exterior plastics all round. If you are going to do it yourself you need to prep the plastics, buy matching paint, laquer several layers afterwards and then use G3 rubbing compound (can be bought at body shops). It is worth buying wet and dry sand paper grades 400, 800, 1200 and 1500 for preparing the plastics, rubbing down after spraying and for rubbing down the laquer. It is very difficult, if not impossible to get the plastics back to plastic after spraying if you make a mess.
  6. Dam that engine is seriously clean! Looking very nice indeed!
  7. Dents have been removed by Ben @ Dents Plus who I can highly recommend and I have used the Maguiars Clay and polish which has also worked a treat! The Speedlines are suppose to be ready this Friday (I hope) which is cutting it fine as the solitudes are looking a little worse for wear and not ED38 worthy. The 50mm spoiler has been fitted and I prefer it over the 90mm one - it makes the front look wider I think. Just replaced the VW badges on the front and back also and touched up some paint also. This weekend should be a good opportunity for some new pics and hopefully she will be on the CCGB stand for Sunday!
  8. Hey mate, sorry for the late reply, forgot about this post. I will get myself to the blasting/powder coating factory this week! I will see you at ED38
  9. Bally - I take it these are for your car? if so you could just get late spec ones and change the position of the switches? or get your current ones trimmed? As for the actual question, no idea

    Ooooh thats very nice indeed!
  11. Is the Skyrocket joining the Coupehaus massive?
  12. Cheers for the nice replies! Radford - My license plate is seriously cool I'll have you know! I'm having my speedlines refurbed this week! I can't believe how expensive it is! I also have a couple of dents which are being removed tomorrow by Dents Plus. They are the size of a 50p piece at the largest so shouldn't ruin the paint, however I'll give it a darn good polish up after! I'm still on the original paint all round which apparently is a good thing? Personally I'd rather have a fully resprayed car to factory standard Recently purchased a 50mm front spoiler with the metal pannel above and all the screws/bolts for £82 from the stealers  and that was trade price! I really need to get a different rear wiper as the standard one looks very silly with the Lupo fronts. Going to have a look at Colbornes tomorrow at those transporter vans and see what I thinks I need to get my car looking pretty for the Coupehaus massive!
  13. The pictures look amazing mate that you e-mailed I wouldn't want to sit in it because I wouldn't want to ruin anything! I can't really write more than that without giving anything away!
  14. Wow! VW should make this and call it the Corrado MK2! Looking forward to seeing this one and Bens at ED38 Neil
  15. If it's a right hander, the rear would have snapped out to the left. My money is on your brake setup and possibly your rear calipers/disks/pads If it was a front braking issue one wheel would have locked up for a second or so.
  16. Heavy braking on a corner (even if slight) could make that happen, especially if a negative camber road or dodgy surface. If it is more than that might be worth having a full laser alignment and the brake servo/bias checked. Maybe a rear caliper locked up? The original rear calipers will be very corroded if original as I found out last year and changed to MK4 rears
  17. Ah Raddas! It looks very nice indeed! You should be winning something at the show! I would feel scared sitting in your car
  18. Not too sure what Ferrari it was but looked like a 70's Le Mans car parked outside RSVP in Guildford about a month back. Both myself and Biggerbigben drove past it. I nearly crashed! I think it was a 512M but not 100% sure. There have been some nice cars in Guildford recently: - F40 with a very loud dump valve in red Purple Diablo and an orange one F355 F1 Spider - race spec Aston Martin Vantage, The Big One! sounds like a plane BIG CAT number plate lol
  19. I'd have a 355 over a 360 any day! They're so pretty especially Black  Saw one of these in Guildford last night outside Cafe Uno Rather nice yah!
  20. Front bushes replaced New ARB Speedees refurbed Couple of dents removed Full service A friggin good polish!
  21. On mine it was the back stepping out alot more easily than it does now - but I didn't notice this until they were replaced Quite a harsh ride also over bumps
  22. Cool, I will get it done, I might give a rub over with a G3 type compound after and wack on loadsapolish!
