Okay just spoken to a couple more people.... Is it true the paint weakens if you pull out the dents and eventually rusts?

Chips Away have customer reviews on their website that give the franchisee's name which is a bonus. I don't know anyone who has actually used any of these companies before though? Dent Master just do Dents Chips Away do Dents, interiors and stone chips and scratches

Did anyone have any reviews on Dent Master? I have a new fooker of a dent on the crease and want it removed before E38. Any recommendations?

Who did you use to take the dents out?

Hi all Just thinking about what I should do with all my old rubbers........ I have replaced all the top mounts and the rear axle bushes with VW stuff to keep the ride and the passive stearing. I don't want the ride to get any harsher but I know the rest of the bushes are a mess so will need to change them all. Should I buy a full set of Powerflex which can just be pushed in? Should I take it somewhere and get original bushes pressed in? Ben told me I can buy some of the parts with bushes already pushed in for around £40 anyway from GSF so might also be worth doing that. At the moment I have some knocking noises which I'm thinking might be severly worn bushes as the suspension is apparently fine and all the top mounts have been replaced. The ball joints have also been replaced recently. Neil

just to update it's cheaper to buy these through the dealer if you can collect. £41 for the 50 mm splitter. Just ordered the lot: - 10 screws/bolts - ? Blanking plate - £21.00 50 mm spoiler - £41.01 Mine is registered to have the 90mm one as standard but it scrapes everything and is starting to annoy me.

Does anyone know where I can get my bonnet stay blasted and powder coated locally? Nearly all the paint has come off now :oops:

Bloody hell mate! Is it going to rev up to 8000 rpm??? I've got first ride! How was the handling and traction? I must have a go! It will probably make mine feel so boring. I've been having a dark morning looking at 4.0l HC TVR Chimera's and 3.0l M3 E36's on the trader - nice ones for sub 10k! Then I might stand a chance at keeping up with you

£7,500 with the RS's and FK's included It's quite alot really but there aren't many about in a dark colour with dark leather sub 80k miles. I was also still drunk when I bought it - I nearly bought a 328i Sport instead, good job I didn't as the engines are made of cardboard and fall apart.

Bit of a harsh thread? The guy has posted up his BHP and Torque figures which were alot higher than standard - his torque was just under 200. 0-60 times are usualy done with 3/4 tank of fuel, some luggage and a passenger. Manufacturers also don't put down the best time, it is an average of a few attempts. So with one person, hardly any fuel, tuned engine and a very good run why is 0-60 in 6.5 impossible? Evo says 6.2 for a VR6 and Top Gear said something like 7.2 - quite a difference
