When checking the voltage has everything gotta be on? or just the lights and the rear heater? I am getting a fairly healthy 13.6v without anything on and around 13.4v with the lights and rear demister on???

not having much luck at the moment... the oil light came on today whilst driving!!... albeit at low revs, noticed it seems to come on within a few minutes (with oil at normal running temps) of driving at low revs which probably means the pump is on its way out, as the oil level is full! could also be a faulty pressure switch...? and if i turn the car off and then on straight away whilst rolling it goes away.... As fot plans go.. nothing major really just need to sort out the spacing for the fronts and maybe add a bit of negative camber front and rear... wanna get the car running properly first tho and if this low oil pressure doesnt resolve itself after an oil/filter change and possibly an oil pump then its gonna have to be a 1.9 bottom end aswell unfortunately....

God no! i think if i did that there wouldnt be much left of them with all the salt on the roads etc... i am gonna stick my graphite D90s back on pretty soon i think.. :)

after my grand day out an G-werks ( thanks again Darren / Steve for your input & help!!) i thought i would get home and give the C a wash...Looks like there maybe a few fueling issues with remap so its grandad driving for me for the next few weeks... Heres a few pics... still needs to go lower me thinks???? and the fronts defo need tucking in more! Also nice to finally meet furk'z and his lurvly rado! 8)

Having a small problem at the moment..... The car seems to leak boost when between 13-15 psi?? I have narrowed it down to the fact that the boost return valve is not strong enough to stay shut under these pressures?? when i had it off i could physically with ease open the valve when at full throttle.. surely it shouldnt open back up fairly easily as its meant to hold boost... Anyway i conducted an experiment and cable tied the spring mechanism together so that it wouldnt open... went out and i had no boost leak at all!! I didnt really wanna leave the cable tie on so took it off and the boost is leaking again... Anyway am i looking at another bypass valve? or is there any other way of keeping the mechanism working as it should but not to leak the boost??

Had a chat with one of my coleages at works he is convinced i have a battery problem (dodgy cell) and that i may also have a problem with the battery terminals, so will give this a go and see any results! Anyone know a decent battery i can get that will last a bit longer than 6 months?

i had them on my D90s... perfectly fine for my liking.. and they look the dogs danglies when fitted aswell look just right!

i have even disconnected my water injection pump and the crappy duostyling afr gauge as i thought this may have an effect... seems to be running better but the voltage is still the same.

yeah the battery light is on... its on before i crank the car over then it goes out as soon as the car starts... The voltage at standstill is 12.3 v Its 12.5 when runnin at idle with all electrics on...

i am fairly lucky that i can probably nick atleast 80% of what i need from work so shouldnt cost me anything... :)

Checked all earth straps and added a few etc.. after adding a few more earth wires to cyl head and alternator etc, i get a voltage of 12.5 accross battery terminals... it was 12.3... From what i can tell the battery to starter cables mentioned by steveo do look a bit tired.. i am gonna get some more cable from work and have a go at replacing the lot.. i am assuming that the older the cable may cause more resistance therefore there would be a voltage drop?? i am no electrician but its gotta be worth a shot!

checked the voltage accross the alternator to battery and its around 13.5 volts..? Also gunn acheck the cables to and from starter, and also the earth strap on gearbox... which i dont think i have on my car...Thanks guys! 8)

how many earth straps are there on a g60 and where abouts are they all??

Changed the alternator today for a brand new one from VAG... i am still only getting less than 12.8 volts accross poles with all the electrics on..? it should read more than 12.8 so that the ecu doesnt go into limp mode?? What else can i check??

so then daz.. :) has the co-pot gotta be set at 500-600ohms or are they set correctly on the wideband lambda??

hmm yeah but they are pretty curbed up tho mate.... they need atleast a refurb in the same colour before they go near my car ...lol was just thinking they may look as cool in matt black... they would kinda blend in with the bonnet bra then 8)

Just took the car out... upon looking at my afr gauge it was running mega rich all the time... so i went home and put it back to what it was... :)
