Nice job that Sean! ;) Nice too that you've got some running gains from it too :thumbleft: -
Ref the leak, check the drains are working from the sunroof, the tubes could be blocked. Pour a little water in to the sunroof tray with the roof open to check it drains properly. The tubes can get blocked and the seal is just a weather seal, not mean to be fully waterproof.

Nice when it's something simple - and free! lol

Been one on so far. It wasn't a bad show actually. Seemed a little 'cringe-worthy' at first but I like them both, plus good cars and features and nice for a car show to actually be about cars! :)

Very shiny :)

Oh brilliant, that's decent of him ;) £40 an hour is a very fair rate but it can still ramp up quickly ;)
-
Oh poop!! At least you've found the culprit though which is a good thing. Hopefully you can find one easily enough and for not too much money ;)

Didn't know they had a coming/leaving home option so no idea!! lol Storm badge is there of course for Storm versions. I think all others have a Karmann badge there. Ref the stalling issue, make sure you don't get in an open cheque book situation with the garage, you could spend an awful lot of money with them trying to trace a fault otherwise. Is there anyone local on here that can lend a hand just to give your car a quick once-over? I would if I was close. There's some basic checks that could be done and shown to you without having to spend a fortune.

Oh crap! :( I wonder of it's the light unit itself that could be faulty? Whatever it is it's intermittent, although mostly not working.

Had you re-cabled the abs light yet?

LOL excellent!! :)

Blimey, bargain bumper toby!!! :) The red rears are looking ok but not too sure on the front orange. I think it's too orange. If more translucent I think it would look ok ;)

I know, I love fixed like that!! :)

Sorry Jim I didn't put the full story up! This I know, I found the leak (eventually after a lot of poking around) to be from a hose connected to the thermostat housing. Tightened the jubilee clip and so far, no more leakage ;)

That's so true, you expect the worst! Driving along the other day my coolant light started flashing. I look for somewhere to pull over and I'm thinking about all the possible terminal issues it could be. Then remember to check the coolant and sure enough it had dropped to minimum! It's easy to forget checking the basics /obvious sometimes lol

Thanks Leon. I've already ordered one for a couple of quid of my mate that does car parts (shameless plug - http://www.classic-vw.co.uk/) It should be here in the next week tops. He's great for parts by the way and can get most things even if it's not on his site ;)

Ref the mats, not sure about the backing as I sold the car Monday! lol I think they're rubber? Toby could check for you if he's feeling generous as he bought it from me ;) http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=89950
