  1. I'm still happy to come - but if it was put back would do me a favour at the mo. Happy to go with the masses on this one lol
  2. Ah Hi Richard! Thanks for the intro. Looking forward to your pics/thread. You know where I am now so feel free to call in any time ;) Cheers Andy
  3. Welcome Mark. Enjoy your new toy - looking forward to the pics ;)
  4. Good buy - that should be fun!! There's a good track car thread on here that may give you some tips for weight saving etc. I can't remember who's it is now but if you search I'm sure it will pop-up ;)
  5. Couldn't agree more! You'd think you'd be mid-way on the adjuster. I spent a lot of time trying to source the right one for my old MK2 Golf 16v and ended up the same place as you.
  6. Just checked my valver's belt and it's 9.5x950mm. The alternator bracket is right at the end of its adjustment but it does tension up no problem. I've always found the same with my MK2s as well.
  7. This is where I bought my B12 kit from for my MK1 about a year ago. (still to be fitted lol) http://www.coiloversdirect.co.uk/ At the time they were the best price
  8. I've used B12 kit on other cars and it's a nice setup - have some waiting to go on my MK1 Golf. As mentioned replace top mounts plus I'd double check all other bushes too whilst your there. A pair of wishbones with bushes fitted from someone like Veedubmachine aren't expensive and you only want to do the job once! You may also need a pair of these if none are fitted at the moment - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Volkswagen-Corrado-16v-G60-VR6-Eibach-Ez-Front-Camber-Bolts-PAIR-5-81250K-/231410249742?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35e120300e
  9. Nope, very much a bloke!! lol (What sort of ladies do you hang out with!! lol)
  10. Needs a bit of a clean, but all looks good otherwise. You must be really please with it :thumbleft:
  11. You can get a basic reader off ebay for about 15 quid which will read and erase codes. It's not as advanced as this one but it's very useful
  12. LOL minor details! At least you're fixed, happy and enjoying it now :)

  14. Spotted a black one coming the other way to me near Pilsgate, Stamford. I'm guessing it's Pete again? He still never waves back! lol
  15. Ah glad I'm not the only one! lol I posted about that when I fitted mine but no one seemed to agree. I bought some tint film to cover it, but didn't get around to it and it doesn't seem quite so bad now :thumbleft:
  16. Great news. That's a nice way to end the week :thumbleft:
  17. Welcome! That looks great. Pics of the interior and engine bay too?? :)
  18. I've swapped wheels on mine a couple of times and this always seems to happen. I just stripped the horn pad off and put it back together and it worked ok
  19. I had similar on my old MK2 Golf 16v. Everyone supplied a belt that was just slightly too long - eventually found the right one. Partsbase is good (usually) for verify things like belt sizes - http://www.partsbase.org/vw/eu/
