  1. Not at all, I'm well chuffed, don't have to do anything urgently now!
  2. Good idea, what did you cut it with?
  3. Thanks mate. Well good news, it passed! Advisory on one tyre and wishbone bush so no surprises. Agree with you on the suspension. Replaced every nut and bolt on my Mk2 Golf 16v last year, all OEM except for Eibach lowering springs and the transformation was amazing! I'd like to fit a B12 kit but funds are tight at the moment lol
  4. Lol that's the corner of my unit, the rest has cars in!
  5. Yes made it ;) I know it will fail as one of the steering rack boots is split. My friendly MOT tester doesn't mind testing knowing this - I want to know if it fails on anything else before stripping down to replace parts. I know wishbones and bushes need doing but they're not bad enough to fail (famous last words!) lol
  6. All sorted. GSF had one new for £36 so thought that was OK. Linkages were moving very freely. GSF chap said motor is same on all Corrado and other VAG too. Not sure why my usual parts man couldn't get one. Anyway, I can now wipe my windows again! Next up, Mot tomorrow! Thanks again for all the info chaps
  7. Thanks for the offers chaps, I'll see if I can get anything local tomorrow with GSF first as would like to sort it tomorrow. Fortunately Wayne, it didn't rain again after they broke! :)
  8. So this afternoon ploughing down the A50, my front wipers stop working! When I came to a stop I could hear the wiper motor making a grumbling noise as if it was still trying to operate. I stopped, got out and gave the wipers a gentle nudge and they then finished their wipe cycle. First off, I'm after opinion if this is likely to be the motor failing and needing replacement? That's my guess (had not time to diagnose yet) as if the spindles have seized then the little nudge wouldn't have got them going. Secondly, I called my trade parts supplier and they said that they can't get me a wiper motor for the later spec Corrado! However, on ebay it doesn't seem a problem. Are they difficult to get hold of (will the ebay ones actually be for earlier models?) All help appreciated please as MOT was booked for Thursday so will have to cancel now most likely - plus I think it's due to rain and this is my daily! lol Many thanks Andy
  9. I don't think that's true. I can only speak on their 'Trading up' series and the MK1 Golf GTI as our club was involved in the sale venue - it was definitely all genuine ;)
  10. Well if it was in the name of science, sounds fair to me Sean! lol :thumbleft:
  11. Ok that's all folks!! All courier bookings are done, everything is packed and ready to go. RocketRon's parcel was collected today. All of the others will be collected on Wednesday. Please let me know when you receive your parcels safely. At this point in time, I think it's unlikely I'd do another run any time soon as I'm lacking in time and it will need more with the 20-off MOQ for the next run. If anyone wanted to take it on, please feel free. For the record, the reserve list and first on the next run should be; RESERVES 1. stuarttaylor37 2. Chazrad 3. 10jonesy7 4. unclean – late style 5. TheMunch – late style 6. Crispo – late style Thanks again all - hope you enjoy them. I just need to find the time to fit my kit now! lol :thumbleft:
  12. Nice day for a job like that - useful pics too ;)
  13. Shiny! :) (Mine's filthy right now, needs a clean!)
  14. Hope they aren't buying Wayne's VR - it's only an hour long show (Sorry Wayne, you know I love you! :thumbleft:)
  15. PMs replied too. Ron yours will get collected tomorrow so fingers crossed for a quick delivery. The rest I'm aiming for Wednesday collection as I'll pack the rest tomorrow, and I'm out Tuesday so can't have them collected then. I'm working my way around to PM-ing you all (will be done by the end of today) but courier for single kit is £4.98. If you owe me anything or I owe you (which applies to a couple) or you're having two kits delivered then the cost will be different. Courier will cover £50 insurance per kit too so you're well covered. Please remember to GIFT the paypal payments to FRIENDS/FAMILY so that I don't get charged! ;) Many thanks Andy
  16. Jees - how heavy did you used to brake??!! lol Thanks for the info, that's useful. I need to get around to refreshing my suspension soon. I was debating the B12 kit (which I knew really would be good) or going Eibach lowering springs and standard shocks - which did work really well on my MK2 Golf 16v.
  17. Hairyarse

    New wheels

A friend of mine has similar to go on a MK1 Rocco - they don't look too bad. Not sure how they'd look on a C - depends on the look of the rest of the car I guess.
  18. I'll look how the pricing works out. I've not packed any yet but should be able to get more than one kit in a box I'd have thought - I'll report back!
  19. Lovely pic Sean! It's nice to hear that the kit has settled in well. Two questions, firstly have you had any spoiler scrape yet? Secondly, how does the ride compare to standard suspension (if that's a far comparison to make - given yours if you had it was 20 odd years old I guess?! lol)
