  1. Get the 4motion box to add to the list lol You can't have a Honda ahead of you shorter ratios will help accelerate quicker
  2. Isn't it the casing that's the weak point in the vr6 box? Which reminds me about the wavetrack gb
  3. I know my kids struggled to move the 4mo box lol Yes I've just checked and there is only about 10cm difference in shaft length for the 4mo And about 20cm difference in the vr6 shaft lengths
  4. The equal length shafts would help imo With about 200ft lbs of torque I chew through my near side tyre compared to off side and I'm a steady driver lol Zak
  5. How about using the golf r32 or 4motion box? One of them seems to be the stronger box?? I'm not sure about the blanking plate etc for the transfer box but when I had the box it seemed to have equal length drive shafts at front I could be wrong Plus you get 6gears Problem is you already got/ spent money on a flywheel and clutch It weighs lot more too compared to the vr box Zak
  6. It would be good to have a nice flat torque curve with 300ft lbs without a blower Will have to see if spending some money on n/a 3.2 work out cheaper
  7. I'm contemplating this instead of going turbo eventually
  8. Looking good miles better with the ch
  9. Congrats might have to give you a shout if and when I get up north I've spotted this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=201340016348
  10. Have you got spacers on the front?
  11. I've just done both front ball joints after having them sat in the boot for 7 months!! With the camber set to -1.7 the difference is phenomenal Had a nose at the wish bones and they still seem ok we didn't have time or a press to do the other bushes Spirit level app depending how accurate on a level surface to get the camber before it was at -1.5 and front tyres have worn near enough even just need a proper alignment chech now and have a play with toe
  12. Brembo rear discs vr6 I ordered these but they come few days too late and had to pay more from gsf when garage did the rear wheel bearings Imo these are a good choice as from memory brembo discs come balanced and with the bearings sitting inside them you will get more life out of them free UK delivery List Date: 5/2/2015 For more info, click here to view the original listing: Brembo rear discs vr6 -------------------------------------- On Sale For: ?45.00 -------------------------------------- Mobile friendly version: Brembo rear discs vr6 Go Mobile: Download the free Panjo iOS app now!
  13. Also found out today that some mk4 rear calipers have an m14 banjo bolt instead of the common m10 so the normal kits won't fit
  14. Thank you I'm getting http://www.rsdlimited.com/About.html He used to work for vw Motorsport or something and will see what best option is
  15. Ordered trw callipers And just for info the mk4 seems to use the same pads as the mk3 vr6 besides that the later ones(mk4) has a thicker pad by 1mm Anyone confirm this?
  16. PayPal fees are 3.4% plus 20p So total is £517.20 You can do a bank transfer if it's any easier? Still nearly £100 cheaper With the last order I didn't realise PayPals exchange rate was different(not as good) to the one I was using Zak
  17. Pm sent The £500 is with out PayPal fees delivered to the UK
  18. We can do single orders for the same price
  19. Yes they are £500 delivered including £5forum donation
  20. Are The brake hoses the same length I'm getting some made with the mk4 ends for new calipers
  21. Well I got the car with standard pagid pads and drilled discs and was not happy with them I did get some pagid rs4 things but they sent me the ones for the 280mm discs so being stuck I got some jurid ones from GSF with fresh brake fluid dot4 and it was bit better Still not good enough for enthusiastic road driving I've just adapted to not push too hard to avoid brake fade. Now with the 24v I've had to hold back a little more My rear calipers need replacing with rear wheel bearings so going with the mk4 rear calipers And will need to change the brake lines so getting a full set of braided lines made from black diamond So the dilemma is which pads to go for? Still got more than half left on the fronts so keep them Ferodo ds performance Ferodo Ds2500 Brembo hp2000 Black diamond fast road ones Carbone Lorraine rc5+ maybe rc6 I'm leaning towards the CL rc5+ and brembo hp2000 The rears will stay standard with brembo discs and pads if they have stock I drive very slowly for the 5-10 min till car warms up so cold braking not too much of an issue And I will be changing the fluid again to something bit better Zak
  22. I've got couple prices for the ds2500 pads for 280mm/288mm discs Pads for the 280mm discs £91.40 plus delivery Pads for the 288mm discs £141.69 plus delivery I need to check delivery which I think was £6-7 but they can be sent to one place if there a few local to each other Not a massive saving but cheaper than few places Payment can be made directly to the supplier Will decide on a date once I see enough interest The order needs to be a minimum of 10 sets Can only do the ds2500 and ds3000 and other race only pads by ferodo CANT get the ds performance Zak
  23. I've got my k and n filters just behind the gearbox for now till I move battery Miles better than behind radiator Old pic of my bay
  24. I'm in if its the 25th October otherwise I have to book a day off That's if I'm allowed with the golf lol
