People, After some hard graft, here's my result from this weekend. Some Meguiar's Nxt Generation wax and Back to Black and other polymer protectants for plastic parts.... Please be nice towards my poor car  I thought I'd supply you with the arse-end view since there are still some parking rashes from previous owner I can't afford to fix at the moment :( - '93 VR6, Dragon Green - Standard Suspension - Lupo GTi wipers at the front - Infinity Basslink in the boot and two 6x9 Kappas in the parcel shelf, powered by Kenwood HU - Kenwood 10Gb Music Keg - Gear knob and shaft from Richbrook - K&N Induction Kit - In.Pro rear light clusters - Frosted side indicators with quad LEDs - Passat rear badge, the old one fell off - In between alloys, would like at least 16" - 'I WANT' list reaching stupid proportions :) Cheers, Rica

Hey, I've just bought the Meguiar's 'nxt generation' tech wax with synthetic polymers. We'll see this weekend whether this stuff is as good as, if not better, than the 3-stage system. But I agree with all. I think it is the best system around for those who can't afford to pay loads for waxes. Cheers, Rica

I got mine from Demon Tweeks, It was a right pain, although I am sure it was mainly due to unforeseen circumstances. Suffice to say I got them for free in the end, so I am not slagging them off. Cheers, Rica

Oh no no, It can't be her. If you fellas read the script instead of oggling, she calls the Corrado 'this car' as if it wasn't anything special. Surely Ben would've preached her ears off for her to know better? Anyways, that's not the point of this thread, leave it alone. Ben you'll be alright, a cliche I know, but true as well. Besides, what's better than having a large group of people you can moan to? :D Cheers, Rica

Hey, 10+ price, I am in Cheers, Rica

Oh well, We Finns must all be nutters :norty: Cheers, Rica

Henny, I agree with your taste on KGs. The green one's nice, but only the models up to about '68-'69 had proper bumpers on them and the bullet indicators, much better :) Cheers, Rica

Oooh, Karmann Ghias.... I SO want one Cheers, Rica

Hey, I spotted L1NUX. It must be worth something in the geekdom! Pity about the car though, a Puma Cheers, Rica

Yep, Just pull it, mind you, you WILL break the blue clips and then you won't be able to put it back without a visit to the stealers Cheers, Rica

Hi, I use two of the three stages all the time and the first stage when the car needs it. It is nice stuff and very easy to wipe on and off. Beading is good and probably lasts a long time, I wax the car every week if I can :D Only thing I was slightly miffed about, is that when the weather dries up some of the beaded water dries on the paint and leaves all the dust, pollen etc behind That IS why I wash and wax it every week :) Cheers, Rica

Some of the cars I feel sorry for, genuinely. Top Gear Garbage Cheers, Rica

Anyways, Thank you all, I've got it sorted now, power down the passenger side near the door, RCAs in the centre tunnel. Basslink nice and, ehhh, bassy :) And the Music Kegs lovely too. Cheers, Rica

Ehh... Not very many pictures, mainly about the Brown Bread and the new underlay.. Didn't even bother taking pictures of routing of cables! I always do this though, I say I'll take pictures, it will probably help someone someday, but never do... :( Cheers, Rica

Blown, Not that I'd ever change my C, but Cupra R is definitely high on the list :D Cheers, Rica

Whell, The passenger side carpet came up just fine, but I am not having such a good time with the driver's side. There are so many retaining clips and such behind the pedals, that I've given up for tonight. I did want to wash the carpet while it was out, but it looks like I can't get it off without getting seriously miffed with it. Also, I couldn't get the handbrake cover off. I take this mythical button is underneath the leather, just behind the big notchy rest for your little finger? Will have to try again tomorrow. The argument will ensue tomorrow, whether it rains or not :) Better'd charge up my camera as well... Cheers, Rica

Thanks, I'll head off into the rain :) I've managed to get the seat off (easy) and am now going to take the carpet off. I had a swimming pool there a while ago and I can already smell the swamp underneath :pukeleft: 4 rolls of Brown Bread, some car jute underlay, and jumbles of wires later, I should have a Basslink in the boot with a Kenwood 10Gb Music Keg, yay! But still, I am routing all the new wires down the passenger side, but the question remains. Should I just put the changer cable with the power for sub without the signal catching some interference? OH! While I am there, my fan makes an annoying whirring noise on speed 1. Since I can see the fan, what can I do to it? Are the bearings going on it? Can I spray some e.g. WD-40 in it to make it silent at least for a while? Cheers, again! Rica

Help the poor girl in need, Sorry about this, I am sure the answers are somewhere, but I haven't found them. The door trim that holds down the carpet. How do I get it off? I've tried gently prising it off, but I am afraid I'll snap it. How is it attached? Some plasticy bolts that the carpet seems to have holes for? Everyone else mentions just popping it off, but no one says how :) CD changer cable. Is it classed as a power lead, or a signal lead? Should I group it with the subwoofer power lead, or can it go with the RCA and speaker wires? I am sure I will be asking more questions on this thread, but these are the questions I've faced so far. Thank you already to lots of people, especially kevhaywire and Henny for providing how tos and tips! Cheers, Rica

Henny, You were talking about your clocks in another thread and now I see them in the flesh. I like the LCDs! I'll obviously have to reread the thread and make some notes :) Cheers, Rica

phat rado, As Henny pointed out, here's the thread to my problem, exactly like yours --> Thread :) Cheers, Rica

Hiya, Another techie. I do everything from planning, designing and implementing the designed networks. That means physically installing the network cables and touching power tools. I also recommend and install clients and servers, maintaining them according to contract :) Passed my first MCP (XP) in February, thinking about doing the rest for 2003 Server MCSE. Really a Master of Management Science with Computer Science, never had a job in management :) BTW, AndyVR6, how's Canterbury, still standing then? When I last visited, they were excavating the Whitefriars end of the High Street, did they find anything? Cheers, Rica

Very nice indeed, Wish I had some artistic talent :) Cheers, Rica -
So, The video is 2Mb, shoddy quality, or a lot more with better quality.. I'll see whether I can cram it somewhere, but in the meantime here are the pictures of the interior with lovely wooden wheel and the *cough* nicely executed towhook in bumper conversion. Cheers, Rica
-
Thanks brookesy and Henny, Definitely was not a campaign interior then Cheers, Rica
-
I'll extract it, DivX it and then try to see where I can host it. Have to protect my own bandwidth  Then a question, how do I know whether an interior is Campaign or not? I know they are rare as, but there must be something that separates it from cheap imitations? Was just watching that proggie yesterday and at a glimpse, I thought it was genuine. Cheers, Rica
