My car's gone to the garage for an unexpected problem, so definitely no pictures from me, at least for a while. Sorry Rica

Now that's dedication! Hopefully all will turn out ok and you can laugh about this in the future. Good luck! Cheers, Rica -
Just to confirm quickly... If I have the pods without holes, it doesn't mean I lose anything, I just have to bodge them myself later on? Cheers, Rica

Hey all, Dinkus kindly sent me a PM about the fitting, here's what I've found, so he doesn't have to paste it here. Message sent to dinkus as follows: Heya, Well, they come with sticky tape on the bottom, although it's very sticky, I never got them to attach properly. First I tried them with just the sticky on top of the plastic sills. The doors won't close properly if you leave them like that, you have to REALLY slam them. The pressure unstuck the sills from the plastic sills there anyways. So, I've ripped the driver's side plastic strip out, it's on with some glue, but after ten years, the glue's become waterlogged and does come out quite easy. A little bit of gentle prising should do it. I then cleaned the remaining glue, most of it comes off in strips. The old plastic strips are ruined after this, so no going back!! I've used some 4-minute epoxy. Mine was bought from a model shop, it was meant for the R/C plane  I suppose epoxy from unadvertised hardware stores and alike will be good enough, although their drying time is usually longer and they recommend clamps. It's still stuck... Go figure. I have to do the passenger side when I have the time. You'll also see (well, at least the small Corrado sills are) that the sills are a tad shorter than the plastic sills. It's not ugly enough to catch the eye, depends on how anally retentive you are. I am tempted to put some black/clear(?) silicone in the gap. No piccies atm, will try to get some Cheers, Rica

Kevin, As before, am still interested. Black vinyl, switches in pod. Could I just have the holes cut for 6.5", I'll have to source the speakers from somewhere else. Cheers, Rica

Kev, Since you're an audiophile as well, does this mean there's going to be a 'how-to' which includes recommendations on what to do with the tweeters? Are the tweeters powered off the front speakers? I seem to recall that there was something going on, so that straight swap was not possible, could be me imagining things again... I'll go searching for a thread :D :shocked!: Ahahahh! Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1, highest price so far £325! They must think I'm made out of money! They are midwoofers though, so I don't REALLY need them..... ... Surely not.... *sniff* Cheers, Rica

Yeh, I am still in. I want some oomph coming out at the front now that the rear speakers and woofer have been sorted :D Cheers, Rica

Scott, I know many people froth about Gold Class, but I found it extremely difficult to wipe on and off. That's just me. So, NXT is marvellous, goes on and comes off really easily and smells lovely/ Cheers, Rica

Thanks Kev and Matt, I knew of the slight VR6 bucking, but the cutting out is so bad that I get thrown forwards at the seatbelt when it does. Quite forceful, sudden stopping, is what I mean to say. I've put it in for fault codes. I'll ask them to check the lambda sensor as well. Cheers again, Rica

I know this problem is often asked about, so am sorry. I have dressed in the appropriate attire for the insults hurtling my way  I've tried to read upon this as much as I can. But my car keeps on cutting out. Occasionally it splutters as well, with the revs going all over the show. So the kangarooing seems to coincide with 3rd gear, about 2000 revs and over. It does sound as if the engine has died completely, as in, no noises come from it at all and then it jumps back to life again. It is just very unreliable at the moment. I cleaned the ISV as per instructions found on here, I was surprised to find that the ISV was not actually coked at all, there was dirt there, but nothing I was expecting. Now, a garage told me that the HT leads seem to be in poor condition. When I asked him whether he was going by their looks, or whether he knew for sure they're not working, he wouldn't give me a straight answer. I've replaced air flow meter, coilpack and the hall sender less than a year ago... Could someone offer me some other clues of where to look? I am getting slightly frustrated as I have to rely on the car daily. Thanks and sorry for creating yet another thread Cheers, Rica

Heya, Is this GB still going on? I am in process of allocating my car budget, would like to know whether I can spend the money elsewhere on the car :D Cheers, Rica

Daves16v, That's one nice car you've got there... 5mm spacers would've been just the ticket, you don't want to know how much hassle I've been through trying to get them! Cheers, Rica
-
Ahh yes, that was a bad day kvwloon. and daves16, kindly watch it with your generalisation Cheers, Rica

Erm, sorry? If you're referring to the carpets, they were clean, brand new in fact. No mess in me car, thankyouverymuch. It's the crappy camera that's made them look dirty. Cheers, Rica

I have these, I bought them on Ebay Although, I later found out they're from Dub Design Industries. In the second picture, I haven't actually stuck them down, they're sitting ontop of the plastic sill that's already there. The door doesn't close properly if you stick them on top of the plastic ones. So, I've ripped the plastic sill out on the driver's side to test, and glued it down with epoxy. Still have the other side to do

I do that! I see a C coming towards me and I think to myself 'cor, that's one gorgeous car, what is it?' 'Oh yeah, I'm driving one!' Cheers, Rica

Dinkus, Have a gander at this Meguiar's from Speeding. It's the third product, Meguiars NXT Tech Protectant (G12924) I put it on the plastic bits on the roof as they've faded to gray. Haven't touched it for three weeks now, there's been hot sun, downpours, hail, you name it. They're still black :) After you've washed your car, I'd recommend putting this on before your waxing and detailing, if it goes on the paint, it leaves clear spots unless it's wiped well and truly. So, it's messy, but I think well worth it Cheers, Rica
-
Deviating here, Your wax? Car looks awesome, wish I could produce such 'wet look' :( Cheers, Rica
-
Very nice Scott, What did you use on your tyres? Cheers, Rica
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I wanted those! Now I have to find something else! Good choice though :D Cheers, Rica

I do like this advert on TV for the new A6, with its Escher inspired impossible places the car can drive through. Well used trick, but impressive nevertheless. I don't like the A6's new V-shaped grille though... And I thought they're going to ruin the nose of a new A8 as well :( Cheers, Rica

Yeah, I was after a Blackberry and the Burgundy one is growing on me as well, but I ended up with a Dragon Green. It's still a C, that's all that matters to me :) 'Scuse the scratches, saving up. Oh and the fact it has different alloys, don't ask  Cheers, Rica
-
I love the colour on the first one, Was that an OE colour, if so, paint code? Cheers, Rica
-
Henny, Thanks for at least one nice comment, I was getting worried everyone's just laughing at me and my attempts :( Doesn't mean they aren't anyways *lol* Cheers, Rica
