yeah, true. :) aye, good point ant, dont suppose the t-body would magically unport itself  the mpg on the motorway is prolly around 25 going off the mfa... just read a post on dubforce, sounds like someone has a similar problem to what i had/the backfiring etc, says his lambda was sticking at 0.5 volts,my afr gauge sometimes stays sat in the same place,i just presumed it was needing that many volts at that particular time? may test the actual lambda again to make sure its still alright. it should definately fluctuate every single second right? has my oil overfill damaged it do ya think? cheers guys, neil.

guys, would a rolling road session be a good idea or not? im guessing not,but maybe it would show up a problem? one happening this weekend. ps:any info on the coil wiring? cheers, neil.

8) love the 2nd pic, 'rado's leading the way! ' 'hold on,theyre both pulling off track?!' 'it seems the drivers are trying to repair there sunroofs! :? '
-
not many of those round here m8,theyre all dodgepots  but yeah,it would be a good idea,im just looking at the possabilities at the mo. got to take into account, selling enough tickets by a certain date etc. ps:why is the pic with shiny paint getting so many views? :? are you all shocked and dissapointed at my wearing of a baseball cap? neil.

im not 100% on this, but i dont think it should start at all with the bts disconnected? :( i know mine dosnt anyway, this is a bit of a wild guess but maybe a problem with the ecu? like the 'starting while in service mode bit' is knackered or sommet if it even has one?
-
thanks for the link m8,dont ya just love the red tape and and crap laws in this country eh :x ah well,it is/was just an idea for a bit of fun really, maybe its too much hassle. would take some thinking about to do it correctly too. Jim,i probably would lierally use a hat  maybe film the winning ticket being pulled? :? neil.

ahh i thought there was sommet about the house raffling. dont wanna turn this into an add like, not ready to sell it just yet anyway, cant get it out of the unit :x ,but it is a good un,the floorpan is the most solid rust free one ive ever known on a mk1 (apart from my dads 50k miler, just! 8) ) spent loads on it,new steering rack/bushes/wishbones and bushes/track rods/ball joints/all new suspension struts and springs and rubber mounts/oil pump/water pump/crankshaft oil seals/list goes on and on! saw one on autotrader the other week for £4995 with less miles though.
-
oh 'kinell  did you say yours overfuels too
-
aye, suppose so m8,just cant be ar$ed with tyre kickers and wotnot. thought it would be fun too. was thinking ebay maybe? £20 buy it now raffle tickets? or just stick it on there for £3.5k? really need to sell it now so every penny can pay debts off :( is raffling a house illegal now?
-
cool,im just not confident enough in my expert port/polishing
-
lets say,250 tickets? condition wise, its mine so id say its near mint. :D 1 of only 28 within the uk in black too. as for a friend winning,i wouldnt risk the hassle and grief, but i suppose people would doubt the authenticity?
-
for the chance to win a 1992 sportline cab? in a raffle? neil.
-
yeah,i hope it works too m8 :( in fact im gonna send psd another email right now. how heavily polished is your t-body bill? im still wondering if mines too ott ya know... ps:how many wires should there be to the coil? ive got 1 green and 1 black,is that right? does one feed the rev counter or does the ecu do that?

ok,how many of these things would you do a swap for? no £££ signs involved  jus jokin, what sort of increases have you found darren? and bigger valves or not? dunno why im asking,i havent got any feckin money  -
good question  cool links too.a m8 of my dads tried reading the ecu,but mine wouldnt hook up either(using plugs under gear lever),his book said it should do and told him which plug to use :? yeah bill, mpg aint nothing to shout about, sounds like you know what i mean,i thought the superchips were supposed to be alright, but then the word jabba comes into it i suppose :? steveo29,the new chip should! be coming from steve at psd,but its been a while now :? still waiting on the receipt for the £800 quids worth of work too, which i seriously regret putting on my credit card now  the chip thats replacing the old one will be stage 5,to be used with standard fpr and injectors. just basically mapped for full blend charger/68mm pully/boost return and ported/polished t-body. neil.

sounds interesting 8) -
wtf? :? has that thing just fallen out the sky and landed on your c then? shitter! rado looks very tidy, best colour too

wow,i thought at this stage(what page are we on now?) that you guys would have lost the will to live  or run out of ideas. really appreciate the suggestions. wcrado, aye, timing was last set by ant(gibber) was it 6deg ant? think it was.ps:im using optimax 100% of the time. im running the superchip that came with the car,and i still have doubts as to weather the new ecu is damaged as well as the old, with swapping and changing the psd chip which was fecked? 4 seconds of lag! thing is it goes flat at high rpm(full throttle)and then stays flat half the time, the bucking/hesitancy is mainly on part throttle id say. i thought vag.com didnt show anything on the g60's? i really could do with someone to have a good look over it,and driving it. gavin,when/where are you knocking about on thursday m8? i can normally get out and about if need be. oh i cleaned the plugs up before they went back in(still didnt look great tbh),and finally got new oil temp and pressure senders today :!: and a throttle cable because me and ant found it was stretched. oh,and a vid of the afr, only got it on warm tickover though  neil.
-
re pic:bloody hell, dont think mine hits numbers like that so low down the rev range! mine hits 2000 at redline,is it because of the 65mm pully? mines 68mm.
-
aye good luck with yours too m8,were doomed i tell ya
-
are they all the correct length m8?
-
 think i spoke to soon  been ok today, apart from on the way home,i gave it some stick in 2nd and i heard pinking as it was building up the revs. then felt the power drop off, tried for 3rd and it still felt flat. :( this car feckin hates me man  g60griff,you could do away with it all aye,and try the fpr pipe too,100mm according to etka.
-
thanks guys, gavin i know you answered this in another topic,i wasnt not believing you or anything. just wanted a new topic on the one problem :D tested the throttle switches yesterday, the closed throttle has continuity when shut, and then it dosnt when open. full throttle switch has none when closed and does when clicked. kevin, seem to have sorted it somehow! mixture of a few things i think, vac pipe/fpr pipe, and the setting up that ant did helped. afr is connecyed via crimp jobby and very tightly taped up,the loom is new too as i had to repair it. mmmm, maybe the superchip or the lambda? could lambda be damaged from overfilling the oil? cheers, neil.
-
as soon as i saw the title to this,i thought eye up that sounds familiar  what condition is are the vac pipes in? the ones that run from t-body to carbon can shut off valve? and the fpr pipe? i replaced both of mine with new,and made them the correct length, its sorted mine! i think? it was possibly the t-body one that was frayed and worn where it attatched to the t-body. neil.

just after a definate answer here as to wether this sounds right or not. i have one of the duostyling gauges. cold start at tickover:stays fully rich for a while. warm tickover:fluctuates from far end of ok to fully rich. any driving on part throttle:fluctuates as above. full throttle:stays fully rich. backing off throttle:possible problem? it sits at far end of ok,sometimes just into the rich part. what ya think guys? neil. :)
