ive always managed without m8 :D as long as you really scratch down the side of the hub then you know its pretty much there when refitting... there *may* only be a slight difference with having non worn top mounts. i know you should really have it done by a pro,but its expensive and i only trust myself working on the car anyway  Neil.
-
yeah i know what ya thinking m8,ive managed that on a mk1 before... but im not sure if its doable on a rado  Neil.

you need, 17mm/19mm sockets and spanners. 10mm i think for the abs cable holder thingymajobba thats bolted to the shocker. spring compressors/a must. a weird tool thing to remove the top mount securing ring. and a buzz gun would make it a hell of a lot easier to remove the top nut. :) mark/scribe down the sides of the shockers/hubs before you remove them too, itll give you a rough guide for camber when you refit. Neil. :)

 i reckon the stuff they stick the windscreens in with will hold the eiffel tower in there if you wanted  crazy sh1t that stuff... wondered about the black patch bit too, seems its like part of the screen? :? tried scratching at it,but wasnt shifting.i think a sunstrip will go over it smoothly anyway, unless i use an idea along the lines of what andy says. :) Neil.

no probs m8 8) wow, some weird plumbing going on there! the ecu line runs to the throttle body/top nipple.the lower one on the throttle body is for the carbon cannister. and the brake servo line is for the mfa mpg reading  edit:ps:the intermediate shaft(dizzy timing) is a right barsteward to get right, you can just compensate by turning the dizzy which is probably stuck solid  love these corrado's eh.. hope you sort it m8. Neil.

cheers andy/vwcorrado. i discovered that the mirror twists off earlier after breaking a windscreen trying to remove it (windscreen not mirror) feck me they're stuck in eh? anyway i just rived the mirror off and saw the twisty bit 8) really dont know if i want to risk it with mine though Neil.

sounds promising  vwcorrado, yep i fitted it(fitted a few now) and i removed the backing! i can get em on perfect! no bubbles at all,no dodgy cuts, perfect fit. but they just come off after a few weeks when i put my foot down  a plus side of fitting it on the inside would be the gloss finish look from the outside, instead of getting scratchy with the wiper etc... i really want to stick with one, because a/i think it looks wicked (not in a chavvy way) and b/because im a short ar$e and the visors arent enough  mmmm, hair dryer on the job ya reckon? :?: Neil.

the 2 cam pulley dots line up with a line on the backing plate (as pic) or...theres a dot on the back of the pulley that lines up with the edge of the cylinder head like you say. :) crank pulley: best to check the above at the flywheel end too:replace crank bolt with one from a mk1 gti (dx engine) if you havent already, you need the washer too (i have part numbers). and yep, rotor pointing at the notch(no. 1) Neil.

bump :) dont wanna break the screen removing the mirror! is it glued on there big time? Neil.

hello m8 :) the cooling fan running on after switching off is normal 8) the running temp does sound slightly high, normally an average of 80-90? in this weather i think. with the coolant dropping,it could mean the head gasket is on its way out  any white smoke (steam) from the exhaust? or possibly a leak around one of the hoses,or the plastic bend on the top of the radiator (possibly g60 only) id give it a good looking over for obvious leaks and then maybe think about having the system pressure tested at a garage maybe? Neil. edit:whoops, jinx supercharged
-
definately the turbo's 8) as the cups look too small as phats says, especially with having a dish... and if you have rh cups on it at the mo,keep them! :D wicked wheels that you dont see enough of. Neil.
-
nay probs mamps 8) definately a short somewhere, either wiring or switch orientated. Neil.
-
i think it should...forgotten me self now! theres definately a bit that lights up when you have only your side lights on,and yep its just a small bulb inside the switch. :) Neil.
-
the switches have their own bulbs inside them m8. Neil. :)
-
cheers furk'z 8) it must be a 92 one then as it does have the full set of holes for the grill. Neil.
-
nice, tidy spec as well! 8) and the best colour  Neil.
-
hmmm, obviously a short somewhere then... i think the first place to check is the side repeater on the drivers side. slide it back towards the rear of the car and it will pop out, just visually inspect it and see if the wiring has worn through anywhere. after this, its a case of again, visually checking the wiring to the front and rears and moving on to the column switch/hazard switch etc...but just check one thing at a time. hope this helps. Neil. :)

i thought they were around that price  theres plenty mint secondhand ones knocking about that are worth every penny!
-
cheers furkz/billinjah. :) ok,he just needs the front panel/windscreen and grill now... so if the slam panel is from a 91 car,it will go onto a 93 car? with the original headlights etc still fitting? sorry, just trying to get my head around it  Neil.
-
thats a nice claen looking corrado you have there 8) like em in white 8)
-
rh cups are awesome rims that you dont see enough 8) but maybe thats a good thing
-
16v,thats a clean looking front end there m8 8) aye, fair point m8 :thumbleft: the bits are for a guy who wants them off me,not sure what the situation is...may well have had an accident :!: cheers guys, any more thoughts on wether it all goes straight on or problems with the wider arches? not sure the arches will be a problem as its just the bubbled extension thats wider i think? ive had a look on etks and all i can find is that theres a diffarent slam panel on the vr6,others are the same from what i can tell... Neil.

bump, sorry i know its a sh1tty question if someone could point out threads covering these it would be cool,i can never get on with the search on here for some reason! Neil.
