  3. edit:sorry,crappy reply! Neil.
  4. spade connectors are for spade terminals (like on the back of the switch),dont see a problem as long as the correct sizes are used and crimped on properly... thats all the original loom is but covered in a lump of plasic for ease of removal/replacement,its the exact same sort of mechanically sound connection though. :) sorry just found this while searching for heater blower problems
  5. momo millenium,which i found a vw horn push for :D

    Under Bonnet Sponge

try a car audio shop for some acoustic cloth spray glue :) same idea as kev mentions, about £7 a tin i think. or is it similar stuff to evostick? Neil.
  7. hello. very good work on your red one!!! and i love the one on the borbet rims!!! i want some badly Neil.
  8. oh hell yeah ,especially if on a black/dark rado. Neil.
  9. i posted on there :D linky! would be fantastic to see some corrado designs 8) some real good stuff being shown here too 8) Neil.
  10. also worth noting... the non vw regulators are 14.4 volts(iirc) instead of 14v,so when fitted they need a slight blip of the throttle before the light goes out. not really a problem :)
  11. I thnk that comes as part of the brush pack though doesn't it? So replacing the brushes would also replace this. yep,the regulator is a brush pack as well. £10 from gsf and 2 phillips screws to replace. :) see pic of a tired one. it sounds like its either this,or as phil says...the thin blue wire running from> the alternator is a little loose or damaged. if it is,then the charging dosnt commence, therefor you end up with dead batteries.you can undo the 10mm? nut and clean the terminal up with rough sandpaper. Neil.
  12. looks racy on the black rims 8) Neil.
  13. bit old for me tbh  the lady i mean, not the c  Neil.
  14. no probs m8 8) if you just find the central locking pump (opening end of door) move your hand up the back of it and find the metal rod.it should be firmly in place, and you will be able to operate the pump by nudging it up or down. if its loose and wobbly, then its probably come off up at the top. did i say im not familiar with these? :? Neil.
  15. sounds like the metal connecting rod (from central locking pump to door lock mechanism) may have popped off,or broken out of the plastic linkage. im not too familiar with the set up,so having a bit of a guess.will be a door card off job to investigate. Neil. :)
  16. ive read most of this thread, but my eyes are killing me (no bed last night :( ) you're not all experiencing sticking top mounts/un seated spring plates or something are ya? and i fully understand the 'fine one day, crap the next' thing, ive got recent top mounts (all 4) bushes etc... but some days the left side of the car is absolutely horrible over bumps/rough surfaces. :( clunking and clonking,im thinking its either wishbone bushes or rear beam bushes really hard to tell wether its the front/rear though... Neil.(sorry if my top mount/suspension idea is crap,im real tired)
  17. 8x16's :-P or 9x16's for the ultimate dishy phat look.(kinda compromises the handling tyre wise though) Neil.
  18. yeah,i know the mot dosnt mean jack to the cops,i mean as far as passing without me having to tear it off my self  Neil.
  19. shame i forgot to mention the comp on here  good efforts 8) my mk1 effort from the last comp.
  20. wow,i didnt know that :? havent been pulled for it yet and it went through the mot ok... cheers for the heads up,ill sharpen my tongue ready for the stinkin cops Neil.
  21. cheers chris :) its just a bit of fun eh? 8) not so many entries this time though like i say...but good none the less. and yep,you can use the print screen button to save the pic/then open paint and choose paste 8) Neil.
  22. structure/chassis wise they are very good. :D ive noticed the front lower panels always seem be a bit flaky.other spots are bottoms of the wings/lower tailgate edge(under the plate holder)...think thats about it as well as the others mentioned. :D oh,ive seen a few that have rusty roofs, under the windscreen seal  on the whole though, very good, mine dosnt suffer at all :D Neil.
