  2. My late bodied G60 is LO41 (Gloss black) and it's a bloody nightmare trying to find a front (late style) bumper in the right colour! I think the LO41 and LA9V were pretty much available through the entire production apart from earlier pre 90/91 cars?
  3. I bloody hope so too lol! I did plenty of research before deciding on the e-level and airlift struts, considered HPS which look VERY nice, but they just haven't got a proven track record like airlift have as yet. And reliability/build quality is something I really wanted to be sure about. PS: If this all reads a little funny it's because I've already got a fair way ahead so I'm copying/pasting most of it, apologies. Got a cool little idea for a handle on the compressor compartment, may not work yet but I'll give it a try. Just another small update really, been really busy and my Dad also got threatened/assaulted so I had to 'sort that out' Picked up a pair of neons...Never thought I'd be buying these lol. Picked up two wiring blocks for power and earth. Also got some reusable tie wraps and mounting blocks for them. Put them in place, although I still need to sort more wiring it's sort of coming together. Here you can see where I fitted the two fuses as well, top right above the ecu. The run of the wiring so far. I then picked up some wire etc for my digi tank pressure gauge and the digi volt and pressure gauges. Also some earth cable. And fitted my digi tank pressure gauge. It's not working though for some reason!
  4. Thanks mate. I prefer the Borbet A's meself, so I'll hopefully find someone capable of getting them right or I'll try and do them myself again if I can find the time. Suspension wise I figured I'm stuck with this bloody CorradNo forever lol so thought sod it, give this air ride business a go and at least let me drive on the roads I need to, and get on the drive!   5. Again, just a little progress, but it feels like I'm getting there now with starting on the wiring etc. Picked up these two digi gauges, voltage for the management. And a temp gauge that has a little sensor wire which I'm gonna sit in the compressor compartment. Made two lids, the flat one and an angled one, both removable. Front pic... Pic from behind. Need to see if I can sit the sensors upwards yet... And front shots with the digi gauges, still need to fit my tank pressure gauge yet. Above the tank. Picked up some of these... Fit them into the inner of the compressor box...Pic of the rear. Et voila...
  6. Sounds like you have the same issues as me, bloody annoying especially as it's a company car doing lots of journeys around town. Passing th same roads numerous times in one day gets tiring when you could go a much easier route! And I don't mind at all mate:thumbleft: In all it's cost around £4k all in, including delivery and import tax (£400) but then I've had to buy lots of little extra's, the fittings are a nightmare to source over here, impossible in fact. So that can be hard work. I bought it all from one of the first to be found on google, I'd rather not recommend them as they have made a couple of mistakes that they haven't been very helpful to resolve. Little more progress managed...Compressor box made. Still unsure on how to mount the VU4 manifold and the Management. Then I got a better seal on the compressor area, made a lip that runs around the edge so a back panel will close up against it. Still need to finish this off. The wiring also runs behind it's own connector through a little plug I made. And it clears at the back! And I suppose it looks kind of ok from the front... PS: I know it all looks a little wobbly/uneven in places, some of it is because the front panel isn't fixed yet (It straightens things up) and some I need to run over with the file to tidy edges up etc. Neil.

  8. So the new suspension, which I have genuine (Non scene/showy! reasons for!) Where I live has become speed bump city :-( and I'm tired of having to drive a mile to literally get around the corner. Also I can't get the car on the drive at my new place. And lastly, I'm sick of spending money on coilovers that simply don't last on our great British roads! It's a slow burner because I rarely get any free time with work. But at least it should hopefully turn out ok. Have spent a lot of time struggling to come up with a way to mount everything. The plan is to: Keep the spare wheel space usable. Mount everything with as low a center of gravity as possible. Keep everything easy to get at to maintain it. Keep as much boot space as possible. Make it look sort of plain/not too showy but yet decent enough? lol. Anyway, here's all the toys! Ill apologise in advance for all the pics... Accuair E-Level management with 'ride height on start' function, individual controls of each corner, 3 preset/adjustable ride heights, RideMonitor™ mode adjusts as needed while driving or parked which basically means if you throw a load of mates in the car the height is maintained. 4X Corner level sensors. Touchpad with adjustable/auto dimming and warning system. Air lift struts. 5gallon air tank Accuair ECU and touchpad with lead. Accuair wiring kit, and one of the corner level sensors. The touchpad is seriously nice, superb quality! Water trap and fittings. Accuair power supply kit. Can see the digital gauge I also bought here. Accuair VU4 Manifold. Viair 444c Compressor. That's all the kit, but I also picked up a VDO pressure gauge too for the dash, love my VDO's! Onto the build! I was having real problems with the skinny 5gallon tank, tried various ways but just wasn't happy with it. So I picked up a chubby 5gallon to replace it. Can see an early template here too. Shame that I got sent the totally wrong tank, it doesn't have a damn drain port and they have done NOTHING to sort this out. But anyway... Always start with cardboard lol! Then cut out some wood. And cut out some more! Test fitting...again, and again and again... Neil.
  9. Wow...The metering head? Very rarely that those go wrong. Were the lifters sticking or something? Glad you sorted it! Neil.
  10. Hi John, Both methods are acceptable, although the dry method of application is recommended for the general public/less experienced. The wet method tends to be used by race team graphics dept's and more experienced fitters. Both are fine, but over wetting can cause the adhesive to lose all grip, and also become troublesome around any curves/contours. Neil.
  11. Shame the ecu sensor wasn't the issue. Was worth a shot. Have you unplugged the lambda to test? On the G60 the lambda only works at part throttle (Not tickover or full throttle) I'm not sure the valver is the same? Neil.
  12. No problem. Hope it helps mate. I think it was on my old Mk 16v running 45 webers that I had this issue, struggling to start and eventually failing to start. New ecu sensor (Single pin as 1800cc) and away it went again...God I miss that thing! It's worth a shot to at least rule the sensor out.:thumbleft:
  13. Aye sorry, I'm getting slightly confused with 1800 VS 2.0. Memory coming back though slowly, I think it's the two pin plug, see edit above. :thumbleft: If that IS confirmed as the ecu sensor then you can bridge the plug to rule out the sensor. Neil. EDIT: Yep! As I sort of thought! Found a pic of the 2.0 and it does indeed seem to be the two pin plug which is the ecu sensor.
  14. That looks like one of them :thumbleft: I'm just trying to rack my brain here...Mmmmm. Probably 10 years since I used to play with valvers but I'm pretty sure there should be another one around there somewhere, in fact on the 9A it may just be a temp sender around the back of the head that I'm thinking of. Rings a bell actually. What you should be able to do is disconnect the yellow wire pictured there, and touch the wire to earth. (Probably best for someone else to confirm it's the ecu sensor as I think it is first) and then try starting the car. If nothing happens then at least it rules out the ecu sensor, but obviously check the wiring/terminal end also. Neil. ---------- Post added at 1:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:46 PM ---------- In fact...It's slowly coming back to me. It's on the 1800 that a single spade terminal is used I think. So on the 2.0/9A it's possibly the two pin plug in your pic which is the ecu sensor. Best for someone else to confirm really mate sorry. Though I do know that if this sensor fails that the car will not start. I had this happen on an 1800 many years ago. If the two pin plug is indeed the ecu sensor, then the way to rule it out is to unplug it and use a bit of wire to bridge the plug (Connect it through) Neil.
  15. Mmmm. On the right hand side of the head as you look from the front of the car, find the single spade terminals and take note of which colour goes to which sensor. IIRC they are all the same part number but best to take note anyway. Swap them around. One of them is a sensor for the ecu which when fails DOES stop the car from starting. It may actually be a broken wire to one of the sensors, or a sensor may have failed. It's a long while since my 'valver' days, I think the 9A has 2 possibly 3 spade terminal type sensors and one larger one. Neil.

  19. I'd suggest unplugging the lambda probe, tie the plug up out of the way and run around in it to see what effect that has. Should give an indication on whether or not that's where the fault lies. Neil.
  20. New wheels at least until I get the Borbet A sorted out anyway. 9x16 Borbet B. 215/40 tyres. Also fitted my spare flat center caps from my silver Borbet A's, it's a shame they don't quite fit the B's correctly (Too big in diameter) as they look good I think.
  21. Hi Mark, Our product is actually manufactured as a motorsport light protection film, if you are a fan of watching Leman or GT racing you will have seen our product. More so the Yellow which is also used for identification/classification of differently specced cars using the same track at the same time. Neil.
  22. Wow, if those stats are somewhere near being accurate then it's pretty crazy to think there are so few left. But I think it's easy to forget how old the Corrado is with the way it looks. Neil.
  23. I've always screwed/twisted them on too. I think one of them (Or maybe both, can't remember) also have a black countersunk type screw on thing that sort of clamps the carpet tight against the floor first, then the finsihing caps screw into those. Neil.
  24. Nope. This actually cost me £400 quid. :-( They initially still wanted the £600 for the job! I wasn't really in the mood for sorting things too much other than getting the price down, having a few problems at the moment and just lost my Auntie. Visiting a local place tomorrow who refinish Porsche cookie cutters etc, hopefully they can help. Thanks for the suggestions etc, pretty miffed really that my fave wheels of all time have ended up unusable! :-(
