Cheers lads...The corrado is back on the 4 borbets that i painted black now while i look for another two original/silver ones. Still undecided which i prefer tbh. Not much happened lately really. But ive been collecting brand new vdo gauges for a while to replace the ones i currently have. Still awaiting finding an intake temp gauge, and need an a-pillar pod to mount the afr/lambda gauge as it now has no place in the dash. Ive gone for a diffarent route as far as boost, using both vac and boost which looks great as one needle rises to zero then the boost shoots up. Its just more accurate imo. The collection so far: Vac, Boost, oil temp, oil pressure, volts. Along with sump plug oil temp sender and red led bulbs. Then i made a new panel out of 1/4" as the one i made previously from ally plate was a bit too thin. Then fitted all the new gauges, bottom gauge pod was one i made previously. Retrimmed it to match the lower one. Spare knackered corrado gear knob. Some new leather cut out and sewn together. Won a chavvy red led gear knob on ebay for 99p! And stripped it of the good bit Drilled it out and fitted the led part from chavvy one, and recovered in the new leather. Spent some time modifying the top but didn't manage pics. All Fitted. Although i never knew the threaded part was damaged so its no good. Ill modify another... All the red looks much more red in real life, like the only pic i could manage to show it below. Crap video of the vac/boost.

Check the floor pan for a damp patch where the fuel line runs inside the chassis. The g60 was loosing fuel years ago, and when i got it up in the air, the floor had a damp patch on the chassis as the actual fuel feed pipe had a split in it...Obviously any leak inside the chassis could run nearly full length of the car. The line from vw was about £19 quid iirc. Neil.

Yep, wiring on those is as Junkie says. 8) This may help you fla.
-
Aye, sorry mate...I jusy replied last night (while v tired) without reading any replies
-
You actually need to pull up your arrowed part, and then pull the whole gaitor and surround up over the gear knob. You will then see the clip holding the gear knob on which just pulls off if you pull it apart where the split is. You will see what i mean once you get it in sight. Neil.

Aye, I actually had one years ago mate. It was alright for showing up a problem i suppose, but ive got an innovate wideband fitted permanently now which shows afr on a 52mm gauge, and is obviously much more accurate and responsive. Old pic as ive now got all new vdo's going in, hence the spare place is taken, and the wideband gauge place is also taken.
-
Cheers mate, Whats the fit like and any pics of it fitted? I still think they are a bit pricey for what they are (im not actually that keen on them) but ive run out of space for the wideband gauge... Neil.
-
I ended up binning it  Just wasn't happy with the 'modified fit' :( Really need one from somewhere as ive gone gauge mad!
-
Who's got a single version one especially for the corrado and where did you get it? I tried a 'universal' one and what a load of shat...should have known really. Ive seen them listed for corrado's on ebay but they are simply rediculous money for a bit of plastic. So what ya got, pics? and where from/how much? Neil.

Ive replaced the drop links...
-
Nah, not found anything as yet im afraid mate. I have had the wheels off and checked the tightness of: Coilovers/track rods/ball joints/wishbone bolts/subframe bolts/engine mounts...And all are as tight as they should be. :( The only things i havent replaced up front are the subframe bushes/anti roll bar bushes and steering rack rubber mount...But it feels like something more 'loose' than any of those would give through being tired. When i build my new engine, im going to start from a secondhand subframe up, and redo it all again onc new steering rack etc. Neil.

Cheers mate... What i can hear while driving (while on/off throttle) is the noise/play in the video's...There just seems to be too much play to me :| Its also noisy when i let the clutch up in neutral, which is the clutch release bearing a little tired. Ill check the oil level if i can get time, but im gonna probably look for a new box... :salute:

Cheers mate, Im actually looking at fitting one, but im just needing to know the scale i need 8) If i stuck the sensor in my intercooler (there is a flange i can tap) would a gauge reading a max of 40c be up to the job you think?
-
Cheers for the offer mate, but im way up in Burnley/Lancs... :) I guess im gonna start looking for a ctn box...Still interested to know what people think of mine though?
-
BTW ive seen 35c in my air box over the past couple of days...So whats the possible temp after going through the charger?
-
If you were to measure the temp in a fmic on a g60, what sort of figures would you expect? Cheers, Neil.
-
I thought the standard v belt was more likely to slip under heavy load? Mainly at low end with foot to floor type conditions? Irrelevant of boost pressure? Neil.
-
Its just an earth/interferance wire, nothing overly important and won't affect the running. Plenty run without them as the metal casing is removeable from the dizzy cap. Although i always swap the metal casing over to new caps. Neil.
-
Ah bugger...Im after a ctn code box really if im gonna end up replacing mine. Muchos thanks for the heads up though Dan. :salute:
-
You don't know what box it is by any chance mate? :) Any more thoughts on the video's? Cheers, Neil.
-
Just gone 150k mate...Does it sound like the diff? I don't suppose it could be anything else around there could it? Id imagine id get the same play/clonking if i removed the driveshaft and rotated the flange, it just seems like its coming from behind the flanges either side.
-
Aye, all the driveshaft bolts are tight 8) I thought it was just the O2O boxes that suffered with the rivets failing mate? I was planning on going for a ctn box with a 16v 5th, but i wanted to rebuild an engine first and get it run in etc.
-
Nah, car in neutral with no wheel...just rotating the driveshafts. :) I think in the 3rd or 4th video you can probably hear the disc 'clunking' a little bit which is no problem with the wheel removed obviously. But the knock, knock, knock when rotating one way to the other is concerning me...
-
Ive had some clonking/rattling for a while now when on/off the throttle...It seems to have got slightly worse lately. :( Few video's of the noise, im just rotating the drive shafts. Drivers side first. Passenger side... Please help :( Neil.
