Hey thanks mate :D I think the continuous days/late nights have paid off...hopefully anyway. Ive just woken up...can't bloody sleep. :gag: And ive just reinsured the G60 online  Its booked in for the MOT on wednesday too, fingers crossed everything should be ok. Scared to death of driving it tbh, the roads around here are getting really bad really quick. Adz, a piece at 12x16 will protect both headlights mate 8) Neil.
-
Hi Rich, PlastiKote is what i used, available from halfords etc :) Neil.
-
Get ya sen measured up Adz, or maybe measure up the lights rather than ya sen...  A 12"x16" will protect both headlights, unsure about the others... Fitted a new drivers door handle after jigging the lock barrel so the original key fits...
-
Cheers lads, thanks for the kind words. I realise with all the pics that its probablt hard to keep up on what are pretty basic updates tbh. :) It really has been none stop though! But its finally ready for mot etc, it should be ok i reckon...just the drivers seat belt is a little slow to return. Jim, likewise mate, always good to check out another corrado/vag motor 8) Phil, I tend to get quite a few customers (mainly nissan/lotus owners) that contact me wanting to replace guards. Thet are always very happy in the end. I currently have some clear listed on ebay, but other colours are available via the website. Neil.

Got around to removing/dismantling the rear coilovers to fit new collars...As you can see, just like the fronts i recently did they are still generally in good order apart from the original collars which again literally fell off in bits. The caps were MEGA tight compared to the fronts, i had to resort to filing a small groove for the adjustable grips to get a hold. Rebuilt/Greased to death again and then refitted, i also removed the silly camber shims. Shame i got all the brakes/disc/wheel bearing back on before realising id forgotten to fit the back plates! Idiot! I think its ready for mot/tax/insurance now...Just need to throw the seats in properly. Quite excited about soon having it back on the road! Neil.
-
Mine was the same direction wise mate...You may want to check your coolant level/check for a leak if steam is appearing though? Could be the matrix gone? May be worth modding the direction cog too, see the thread above where there are pics i think. Neil.
-
Hi mate, yep thats right. | Signal | Earth | heater | heater | Neil.
-
I have the plastic type on mine, and admittedly they will be going in the bin as i don't like how it looks at all, nor the fact that they are plastic in the first place. They are no use to anyone else with them being cut/adjusted to my particular set up and a few tabs being broken. They were £15 quid from regal when i bought them. Neil.

Maybe the window has pulled the plug off the window motor?

http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=20216&start=690#p898182 There you go mate. 8) After doing mine, its nice and tight all the way round, no movement at all. And with having done the heater flap too, i never knew corrado blowers were so powerfull! Neil.
-
Cheers lads...but people are supppoed to say i should have kept the yellow :( Phil, a single piece of 12"x16" will protect/cover the faces of both headlights mate, £15.99+p+p 8) Another small/rushed update. I don't have time to paint or cover with ally then paint the gauge pod...so i used some black suede type sh|t for now... Also forgot that ill be needing a front plate for the mot! Not gonna run one otherwise i don't think. Mounted on the mk1 golf plate holder...Red font and many others to choose from
-
Another silly picture update, a biggish one so apologies... New oe style but gold plated aerial connector. Since ive run out of money, and having an extra gauge to mount (the afr/wideband gauge) i made up a center console gauge pod, people pay crazy money for these things for the corrado's In this pic you can just see the push button for the wideband, i later moved this obviously...see pics I drew round the first one again incase i fecked it up. 1 Gauge mounted, and a mk1 golf blanking plug came in handy. I then mounted the wideband calibration button and led under the gear gaitor along with the plugs/shift light jobby. Finally made a lighting loom up for the 3 vdo gauges where the stereo used to be. All mounted up, pleased with sommet for once. Video!!! Anything missing??? .................................................................. Also decided on a change...You may have seen that in the video, the yellow headlights have gone. The headlights are obviously as mint as they were before the Lamin-X was applied! New SubtleTint applied to one... Both done. Excuse the absolute filth!!!
-
Aye, i thought the connector bit was as you say, and indeed it is 8) It seems last time i bought a fan switch i was given one from a diesel lt van! Ill see if there is a part number on it as i know people tend to like these...Id rather have the right one though myself, like you say...stat won't know what its doing  Cheers mate. Neil.
-
Im confused... Just looked on etka, and there are two switches (early and late style) but they both have the temps 95/102
-
Got a new fan switch but it has different temps stamped on it....but which is correct? im sure its the lower numbers? Grey switch: 1-84* 2-95* Black switch: 1-95* 2-102* i think.
-
Cheers mate, good to see someone appreciate all the work im doing on it every spare minute i have...its killing me though, im absolutely knackered. :pale: This afternoon i changed the thermostat and the flange, flange on front of head, fan switch, expansion tank with cap and G12. Still have to get the rear coilovers off and rebuilt :(
-
Got the dash thrown in at dinner time today... And tonight ive got the carpet/center console back in...wahoooo! Under the gear lever gaitor, you can see the lc-1 wideband input/outputs... Neil.
-
215/45/16 mate :D
-
I bloody well don't, im knackered  Passed being hungry and passed being tired, know what i mean? PS:Simon, 3rd pic up from bottom...blue arrow...just for you mate. Resistor pack.

Sorted a new end for the stereo aerial, may use another one yet (original style but gold plated) Got the sound proofing all clipped back in, heater box and matrix back in. Tidy'd the wiring even more, and ran a cable from the lc-1 analog output to the area where the original lambda plug is. So i can sort running the cars ecu on the lc-1. The lc-1 has an input and output lead for connecting a lap top etc...Ive run them to the place where the abs fault code cables are, they sit nice and tight and will bolt up as per original under the gear lever gaitor. Also did another repair on the heater box...corrado owners probably know about the 'wobble' you normally have between the heater box and the ducting for the middle vents. Its just because the foam inbetween is tired. I left it on there but saturated it in spray adhesive, then cut an oblong piece of industrial carpet and clamped them together and bolted together as per original. No wobble/gaps at all now! Forgot earlier pics to show it better.
-
Cheers lads, now the question...Anyone know what speeds this box would give in each gear? Im trying to compare it to the CTN code box. Cheers for the help. Neil.
-
Another box to possibly throw in the mix! :D CHA Code. 3.778 2.118 1.360 0.917 0.717 3.944 What do we think? Im not even sure that the flanges/clutch etc are the correct size? ps:Are the ctn flanges/clutch the correct size? Neil.
-
Cheers mate 8) So it uses the correct flanges? Same size output/spline shaft? Neil.
-
Cool, thought as much, cheers mate 8)
